RE: New offer
Frankly, this is another good sign.

The direction being taken in recruiting is to fill up the roster with talent and let it sort itself out with competition.

Meritocracy. The way it should be. The way you'd want it for your oncologist, child's educator, your attorney and financial advisor.

I respected all of the personal qualities of past Bronco players. No complaint. But from the programs perspective for winning the direction could only trend up. It had hit bottom.

On top of the new infusion of talent their is also the recognition of existing talent.

As an example ... why Adrian Martin sat and didn't play through early shooting whoa's I can't figure. The issues for WMU had always been perimeter D and turnovers.

There was woeful depth. Great stories. Nice kids. Good ambassadors. But you can't limit yourself to that and get your brains beat in night after night and year after year.

Imagine if the depth of talent around Seth Dugan was akin to what may exist this coming year.? I understand there were front line injuries. A malcontent. Deal with it. Where were those talents pushing those aside?

Getting Greg Lee back would fill the bill. 6 sold front line types depending on health. And 6 solid perimeter players.

You want to get to the tourney you need to win your league tournament. But if you schedule P5's and match their talent/effort for 40 minutes and collect a handful of wins (not all) you can make an argument as an at large. Play the schedule of playing 1 or 2 payday games with little chance and a smattering of no names or posers doesnt cut it.

IF Lee comes back they have one more spot. If he doesnt 2. Publicly they have two offers out to a JC wing and a big PG with prep school under his belt. Either or both would continue the upgrade in talent.

I like what this staff is attempting to do and actually accomplish.
