Quote:The White House condemned a new election security law signed by Florida Governor Ron DeSantis ® on Thursday.

“Florida is moving in the wrong direction,” Deputy press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre said to reporters aboard Air Force One.

DeSantis signed the bill Thursday morning which puts limits on ballot box drop boxes, voting by mail, and ballot harvesting, while also enhancing voter ID requirements.

“Me signing this bill here says, ‘Florida, your vote counts. Your vote is going to cast with integrity and transparency, and this is a great place for democracy,’” DeSantis said at a signing ceremony for the bill.

Jean-Pierre argued the 2020 presidential election was “one of the most secure elections in American history,” despite Republican concerns about significant changes to the voting rules due to the coronavirus pandemic.

“There’s no legitimate reason to change the rules right now to make it harder to vote,” she said. “That’s built on a lie.”

Jean-Pierre also criticized Republicans across the country for passing new laws to secure the election, accusing them of trying to prevent Democrats from voting.

“The only reason to change the rules right now is if you don’t like who voted and that should be out of bounds,” she said.

Other states are having a hard time keeping up with DeSantis & FLorida at the moment. They also just signed a law that limits local emergency healthcare decisions to 7 days, and only reinstatable a few time. ALso, no vaccine passport for FL.

Quote:There's no point in pretending America's Governor Ron DeSantis isn't running for president in 2024. He just signed his voting reform bill EXCLUSIVELY on Fox News. My dude is running and it's going to be awesome!

Ron DeSantis not only gave Fox News an exclusive, but other media outlets were told they were not allowed to attend according to CNN. The size of DeSantis' grapefruits to pull a move like has to be giving him back problems. It also makes sense, since we saw how willing the media is to lie about the Georgia voting bill. If the media is just going to repeat what they're told to say by Democrats anyway, there's no point it having the media there.

DeSantis announced the bill in February. His intentions were to:

Address ballot harvesting so that no person may possess ballots other than their own and their immediate family's.
Political parties and candidates cannot be shut out from observing the signature matching process.
Prohibits counties from receiving grants from private third-party organizations for "get out the vote" initiatives.
Requires real-time reporting of voter turnout data at the precinct level.
Supervisors of Elections must report how many ballots have been requested, how many have been received, and how many are left to be counted.
We'll see what made the cut and what the left wants to lie about. What's going to be interesting to see is how many woke companies are willing to denounce and try to bully Florida. Georgia had a BlueAnon conspiracy theorist like Stacey Abrams telling them what to do. Also, Georgia isn't Florida. What, is Disney going to threaten to pull out of the state? LOL at that. Next, let's see him play chicken with the NCAA over commonsense girls' sports reform.

Also remember, DeSantis still has his Suck It, Big Tech bill to sign into law. It's going to be a fun rest of the week.
