We've known there would be 7 home games for quite a while, but have we ever had such variability on the dates? Maybe it's due to TV contracts or something (i.e. hoping to be on ESPN). Both the Navy and Tulane games are variable dates.

I think the option to literally pick a different day is new with the latest TV contract. Year one of the contract was all messed up due to COVID anyway, so this is the first time they're being direct about the fact that the literal day is up in the air.

The Navy game will be played at the Liberty Bowl in October. There are two possible dates for that game at present. It will either be played on Thursday night or at some time Saturday. I would guess the Thursday night game will be more interesting for the network. It all depends on Navy and Memphis having successful competitive seasons going in. I prefer Saturday games but the weeknight games are better exposure for the program. I am the kind of guy who will go to the game anytime day or night, and I am the kind of guy who will sit down anywhere. That is the way us boys down the alley roll.

Looks like October will be road trip month.

Saving 1.5 vacation days for Oct 14/15.

So it looks like homecoming will be Navy, SMU, or ECU. Modern marketing probably means Navy should probably be the opponent, but with the flexible date i suppose they will make it SMU.

7 home games that include match-up's with Miss State and Navy...OK, I'm down with that!

Also SMU and Tulane. Divisional rivals and both have good programs which are improving. With road games at ArkSt, Temple, Tulsa, UCF, and Houston. The Tigers can achieve a undefeated top 10 ranking, or a top 15 ranking with 1 loss. Top 25 is veery doable. Get your tickets early. Good seats are still available.

Dayum !!! I was in the process of setting up a trip to the mountains in East Tn. and stay in a cabin a couple of days and then to Nashville to see grandkids, etc. then on to Memphis to attend the Navy game with friends on Thursday and see our daughter and other friends for a few days and then return to Florida. Now it is impossible until I know what day the game will be played. I have no idea when the decision will be made and can not make any reservations until that time. DADGUMIT !!!!

3 of the first 4 conference games are on the road, that is tough.

Ok I’m a bit frustrated with the ticket office - I get they had to close due to Covid but they only opened this week and I can’t get a single person on the scholarship floor to call me back and the deadline is this week. I’ve had tickets for a really long time and it shouldn’t be this difficult for those of us who donated during COVID and didn’t get the full value of our tickets because we love the university and its athletics and just wanted the best for the program.

With a home schedule like that we needed Nebraska instead of MSU.
