At this rate we might get to hear Balbinot say “And that’s the fifth block of the game for Dr. Edu!”

What I would like to see is a offensive game as well. Perhaps, at least 10 points/gm (shooting 60 % 2 point from the field, 3 assists/game, and 8-10 rebounds a game.

I don't think we should be putting unreasonable expectations on the young man. I just want to see him be dominant at both ends of the floor and take over games in the clutch, carrying the Rockets into the Big Dance in March.

^This. Too much pressure on these kids. Regular season and MAC tournament championship with an Elite Eight finish should be all we expect.

If he graduates after first semester, I hope he doesn't leave after the upcoming season.

got to get him in the masters program and working toward that degree. with 6 years on his eligibility clock he could get his masters too by the middle of his 6th year.

If his stock really increases, he too may transfer out to a higher program.

anything is possible, but UT has shown a lot of loyalty to AJ and built a close relationship with him and his family. for most guys it doesn't make sense to leave a primary role at UT to go to a "higher program". we have similar facilities, great comraderie in the program, and a well liked staff. guys like AJ and Rollins obviously could play at a P5 program but could easily get buried on the roster and be rotation or bench guys. At UT they can become stars. Transferring has been an option for. a long time and most guys for the past 5 or 6 years got waivers to play right away. We have never lost a key player since stuckey mosley if you discount marreon who graduated from UT, played 4 years and decided with the program to take advantage of the covid extra year to impress scouts by playing in the pac12. the team was ready to be more in rollins hands anyway-he's the future. outside of ball state (and EMU, CMU with the coaching changes) MAC schools have gotten more talent in than out in this year's transfer scene.

Which Mid-Major teams have won most from the transfer portal?
http://makingthemadness.com/which-mid-ma...er-portal/

"Toledo transfer Mattia Acunzo has immensely high offensive potential due to his versatility, as he legitimately can play three different positions. Look for Acunzo to take more of a scoring workload next season & could average close to double-figures for RMU."

Bowling Green:

Myron Gordon Wing, Samford (15.6 PPG, 3.2 RPG, 1.7 APG)
Samari Curtis Guard, Evansville (As of now, has to redshirt) (10.1 PPG, 2.4RPG)
Brenton Mills Guard, Binghamton (13.9 PPG, 3.1 RPG, 1.9 APG)

Last season there was, lofty expectations for the Falcons once Justin Turner announced his intentions to return to the program. Still, they never got on a groove for a multitude of reasons, including COVID issues. BGSU finished at a disappointing 13-9 mark, while one of the program’s all-timers in Justin Turner moves onto the professional scene, but they’ve had a big off-season during a very pivotal point for the program. Coach Huger hauled in Myron Gordon from Samford, a 15 PPG scoring-athletic-wing for next season, paired with Binghamton sharpshooting guard Brenton Mills, a 40% shooter from deep for a bad Binghamton team last season. The real wildcard is two-time-transfer Samari Curtis from Evansville, who’s entering his redshirt junior season in 2021-22. Curtis redshirted his true freshman season & only played six games before he entered his name in the portal in the early half of the 2019-20 season. Curtis has already sat out nearly two entire seasons, but it’ll be telling to see how the NCAA waiver committee handles this situation. I’d envision he’s eligible to play next season. The new rule passed last month about a “one-time transfer exception” rules Curtis ineligible for next season."
