Akol Mawein given release by Arkansas
We're not getting this player, out of Navarro Junior College, who is originally from Australia. But, I did notice this line in the article about his release-
Before attending Navarro, Mawein played at Southwest Christian Academy in Little Rock as a junior and senior. So i would bet our staff know about him and probably have talked to him at some point.

Charles Baker probably coached him while he was the coach at southwest.

Well, if that is the case, maybe we do have a shot. But, considering he appears to be a high major talent, he would really have to "love" Coach Baker and Little Rock to come here. We could view it as a "swap" for Kamani.

Probably got a tad delusional for a moment. Just saw where he was the #2 ranked Juco in the country. The coach who recruited him to Fayetteville just took an assistant job at Oklahoma. He'll likely be playing for Porter at OU next season.
