RE: Top 45 Dormant College Football Rivalries
Glad to see someone else misses The Battle for the Bones as much as I do.

I guess it has been too long ago, but I would have put Bama vs Georgia Tech somewhere on that list. I remember the furor over the Darwin Holt smashing of Chick Granning's face resulting in thrown bottles and Bryant walking onto Grant Field wearing a football helmet. Tech's Bobby Dodd blamed that incident for ending the rivalry and exiting the SEC (along with Tulane) shortly after. It was about that time that Furman Bisher (of the AJC paper) wrote the story for the Saturday Evening Post of Bryant and Butts talking on a phone about "fixing" the Bama vs UGA game. Between the two, there was enough poison to kill any rivalry.

It is a dig that they are now so one-sided that only one of the teams shows up. I guess they missed the blue font lol

Hopefully this will resume as a conference game. Memphis v UAB as the final game of the season for both teams...with the Bones & a division title on the line.

I always loved Auburn vs Tenn. Traditionally the 2nd game of the season and set the tone for the winner.

That guy tweets a lot of worthless graphic crap. He thinks he's way funnier than he is.
