I highly doubt we would be left out for a 1-loss P5 team with that resume...and if we are, the playoff expansion din from last year would turn into a roar loader than any we've heard in quite some time.
Oh, I forgot to add that it would help if UCF and another AAC team (maybe Memphis) had an awesome year as well.
UCF plays Boise and Louisville-- and if UCF can somehow go 11-1, with their only loss to UC-- then that is another ranked, quality win for UC.
4 ranked wins for UC would be nice.
Basically we are all rooting like crazy for every AAC team to do well in their non conference schedule. Some big non conference games for the other AAC teams.
Tulane vs Oklahoma. Tulsa vs tOSU, USF vs Florida etc. I don't expect wins there, but good showings will be nice.
Not to mention, non powerhouse P5 teams like OK State, NC STate, Miss State, Texas Tech, TCU, South Carolina, Rutgers etc etc. Those are the games that the teams need to win to help raise the profile of the AAC.
It really is imperative for UC to beat Indiana and ND for the good of the conference. The only way for the AAC to earn respect is by getting wins, and it's up to the 2 premier teams in the league, UC and UCF to start beating these P5 teams on a regular basis every year.
Sorry-- this really should be in the 2021 thread, not the 2022 NFL draft thread. Sorry for the off topic.
