10-0 SHSU

Sam Houston’s 61-year-old coach does not yet have a gray hair. It appears today will not give him his first.

SHS capitalizing on early turnovers.

NDSU 2
SHSU 10

SHSU has a TD, XP, & FG. NDSU doesn’t have a TD, XP, or FG. But it’s a one possession game.

NDSU just missed a safety on back-to-back defensive plays. Would’ve made the score 10-4.

I believe it was:

SHSU TD to go up 17-2
NDSU kickoff return TD to close it back to 17-9
SHSU 3 & out
NDSU punt return TD + 2pt conv to tie it at 17

NDSU not having a competent QB was the difference in that one.

I would rather call him inexperienced as he is a FR who didn't take snaps in the Fall.
Won't be surprised if he has "small hands" for a QB too.

Yeah, they basically had their running game.

But they almost stole it thanks to two long kick returns for TDs.

Not very often a team gives up a punt return and a kickoff return for TDs and still wins. Sam Houston State did.

Though I imagine their special teams coach is going to have some explaining to do in the film room on Monday.

Or probably right now in the locker room, LOL.
