I believe they're the first school in CUSA (maybe the nation) to go to online for the fall semester? Hopefully this will just be a temporary motion. No changes to the athletic calendar for now.

clt says Texas Florida and Missouri are seeing tough times right now.

We just re-implemented masks for Marshall this week. They are pressing hard for all the Boards to pass mandates for regular schools, too. It's probably more necessary this time around, but people are tired of wearing them. This probably won't end well. And we are not a hard hit state but it is growing.

Last year El Paso had an awful time of it with covid. El Paso now is one of the most vaccinated cities in the country. New cases are very low so far and I'm keeping my fingers crossed that it stays that way. Best of luck to those of you that are seeing big upticks of covid.

Interesting. Says on the link that they’ll also require all faculty, employees, and students to be vaccinated.

Indiana University told students and employees that they are required to be vaccinated by the start of the fall term on August 23. Students who don’t comply will have their registration canceled, and employees who don’t comply will lose their jobs.

A three-judge federal appeals court panel, including two judges appointed by former President Donald Trump, was one of two lower courts to side with Indiana University and allow it to require vaccinations. The plan announced in May requires roughly 90,000 students and 40,000 employees on seven campuses to receive COVID-19 vaccinations for the fall semester.

And congrats to San Antonio for overtaking Dallas and being the 7th largest city in the country. That bodes very well for UTSA.

UNT requiring masks indoors now this semester as well.

We're nowhere near the peak of it yet.. not with schools having started. Most in the south will be lucky to not have capacity restrictions.
