I expected him to go 3rd, like a lot of people, but once the 49ers took Lance instead it became a real possibility in my mind that the Pats would get their QB without needing to move up. Honestly didn't expect that to happen, and if I remember correctly, the pick was in almost immediately as the Pats went on the clock last night.

0 hesitation for what was obviously the best possible move at the time.

Yeah, Bellichek pulled the trigger pretty fast on that one, didn't he?

Spending in free agency like mad, not doing some crazy draft capital math...makes me think he's pushing for a final championship without Brady before retiring (though it might be next year or the year after with a rookie QB coming in).
