What if we gave POC exactly what they want?

It is more than disturbing and beyond hypocritical that when a POC dies at the hands of a White person, it is national news; however, when a POC dies at the hands of another POC - crickets drown out the sound of crickets. When you give someone an excuse which allows you to point a finger in every direction except inward, you will probably take that offer every day.


What if we gave POC what they want which is to be left alone. They own and operate their own businesses as they see fit. Live wherever they would like, and only go to schools that comprise other POC (all staff and students). POC completely govern themselves by themselves. Everything from sports, to education, to business and everything in between.

That means however, complete and total separation of whites and POC. One cannot rely on or use the other in any capacity. You cannot blame white people for any of your problems if white people are simply not part of your life and have zero influence over it?

Would that solve the problem? Would that stop the hate and anger? Would that bring the "equality and justice" that they demand?



IMO the 100% ONLY way to bring racial equality to all is with 100% segregation of all. THINK ABOUT IT!

For the record I am not advocating for this. I am merely thinking out loud about this concept.

The consequences of doing so would be terrible - - for our nation and for all of its citizens. Most conservatives can acknowledge that and disavow the hatred coming from the segregationists on the right. Sadly, very few on the left do the same when it comes to their noisy haters.

This country has NEVER been so segregated as it is now in my lifetime.

Conceptually speaking - would something this drastic actually satisfy the demands of POC? I suspect not, in fact I bet the national debt it would not.


This leads to my second observation, if nothing white people do will ever satisfy POC (and everyone knows it), when will people stop trying. How many times do you smash your forehead into a brick wall until you finally stop doing it?

After agreeing with your initial comment, here is where we differ. The short answer is because there ARE historic and still-present issues that disproportionately impact upon our minorities - - and upon blacks in particular.

To pick one example: our public schools are a disaster on a national level, and most particularly in black communities. Public vouchers are a way to address that. I would fully favor directing the bulk of those efforts and funding to black districts that most immediately need help.

Another example: school admissions. There is, in my view, a benefit to all concerned to have our higher educational institutions diversified. Sorry, Asians, but it does not bother me much at all that schools are taking race into account in admissions programs.

I suppose it depends on how you measure it. I'll limit my response to the legal angle, since Jim Crow refers to race-based legislation.

Yes, the black family today is very much better off knowing that there no law (meaning no burly-chested sheriffs deputies) telling them where they can and cannot go to eat, see a movie, enjoy as public park, participate in sporting events, have a full range of employment options, go to a local school or freely vote.

I am sure that others can point out that the black family today is actually worse off from other measures - -economically, culturally and spiritually. But that is not, at least not primarily, due to state action (or inaction).

There is nothing to fire at.... I respect your position.

I am in the camp that you should keep trying no matter what. Even if you are trying to put out a 5 alarm blaze with a squirt-gun.


That said, the rhetoric and ever increasing physical nature of these "insurrections and protests" are leading us up to some monumental (and probably very deadly) moment in the near future. The people who should really be trying to calm things down are only fanning the flames in the name of political advantage and opportunity.

No, it's just getting worse and worse for minorities, in the big cities at least. And that's by design.

This is really all about POLITICAL POWER, as are most of the things the left does in this country. Keep them divided, keep them fighting each other and the left wins.

I think many folks, both white and black, see through this play by the race baiters and racial arsonists in our midst. Some may just be waking up to the depths the left will go to in order to claim and maintain power.

Remember who was the party of the KKK and Jim Crow laws. They haven't changed much at all, just become more radical.
