RE: CUSA Basketball Since ODU joined
A bit off topic, but loosely related to the discussion, just happened to be listening earlier to ESPN radio draft coverage. A player from UAB was drafted and the radio host said, "He is a sleeper from UAB, who was one of the top teams in the AAC last year." Certainly not surprising to me that someone from ESPN would make that mistake, I'm sure C-USA even isn't on his radar.

That’s great, but it’s not an option afforded to most of us. The other 99% are relegated to sounding off in here.
If you’re a donor, you can talk to an ODAF rep and ask those questions or raise those concerns. I’m not the richest donor, but I talk with my rep quite a bit. My relationship with my rep started out with simple questions and it’s built a lot over the years. It might not work out that way for everyone but if you don’t try, you’ll never get there.
I would say you are in the $100.00 to $350.00, in giving to the ODAF. You must enjoy puff cake teams to play and mediocre basketball. Eight years of misery is enough for me, at least as long as JJ stays there.

If you've had enough and have no intention to address it with the parties involved, just go away. What does complaining on a message board do for you?

RE: CUSA Basketball Since ODU joined
I stumbled across this image today and it reminded me of the year 2010 when it was my first time being a real season ticket holder sitting on the sides instead of in the student section. I was standing for the first 3 minutes (in my humble student experience, we only sat down during half) before finally being asked kindly to sit down. Lol.

Nope. I'm giving a lot more than that. But I'm not here to get in a bigger wallet argument.

Insofar as influencing, complaining on a public message board that gets the hits this one does and is followed by the AD, Baghdad Bob, the recruits, the coaches, and the players will do a lot more than sending the AD an email that will get a canned response (if any) from his secretary that nobody else will see. And you know that, which is why you take such exception. Of course, waiving around big money would go a lot further than the message board, but 99% of us don't have that option.

RE: CUSA Basketball Since ODU joined
Ah, this is the first time I've seen anyone here admit that they are trying to sabotage success by driving off recruits and turning off coaches by putting every complaint out on the web via this board. Will have to give some credit for being honest about the effort, LOL.
To each his/her own. I'd normally say good luck with that but on this one, I hope it fails.

I have had enough. I have addressed my complaints to the appropriate people. And I just went away along with my large donation and football and men's and women's season tickets. I now make a minimum donation and buy 1 inexpensive season ticket so as to not sacrifice points built up over the years. And they couldn't care less!

Unfortunately, there is no answer on how to please habitual complainers.

It is sort of like 70% of republicans' think the election was stolen from Trump. I lot of those republican's really don't believe that. In JJ's case the quiet fans want JJ gone which equals (including fans that due what him gone) to about 70% of people who think a change is needed, to upgrade the program. The only problem is Wood made that stupid mistake in the 5 year extension and now can't afford to get out of it.
