Will be interesting to see what they do with the Green lot long term. The BJCC's master plan shows a future hotel on that site. I wonder if that's why they're just leaving it gravel.

Three rows down from the concourse means easy access to concessions/restrooms.
Parking in the Loyalty lot.
Excited.

Awesome! You're directly in front of our group. Row HH and JJ in 124.

I think UAB expected them to sell out very quickly and that didn’t happen. I’ll be parking in the green lot as I expect it will be easier to get out of than the deck will be post game, but will be tailgating with the BT gang on top of the deck.

Some of the people I've talked to were sorta waiting to learn more about all the tailgate options, as some are not yet finalized.

Yep... they are supposedly considering different options including RV lot.

An RV lot with hookups would be fantastic.
One can only dream, speaking of which, if you are planning on going to the Jax St game at the Crampton Bowl, I see where they have RV spots with hookups right across from the stadium... at least they sold them for the bowl game.

I’m thinking our opponents are going to hate playing us at home with us right behind their bench.... It seems 124 and 125 are filling in nicely.

Many of the most loyal, never-miss-a-game diehards in the fan base make up the bulk of seats filled in 124 and 125. What this means is that the days of UAB games looking horrible on TV with all those empty seats in the camera view are over. This is huge in changing perceptions. West Side may have most of the bigger-dollar donors, but the foot soldiers of the UAB Family will be loud and proud in East Side camera view.

But it's the away side! We should bulldoze it and move all those seats to the home side! /s

Why are the west side seats so much more expensive?

Part of it is club access. Originally I was going to go over there, and if the seats were covered, I would have done so. But considering I don't care about the bar or pregame food, and the fact that if it rains you'll be as wet on the west side as the east side, I really couldn't justify the price difference. Some games will be a little more direct sun on the east, but by November, I'm thinking we'll be glad we're not so much in the shade. The difference in price will cover my basketball tickets.

I'm really happy with my seats and the fact that friends were able to sit so close. We're going to have a blast on gamedays.

For those middle 3 sections, it’s definitely club access (it’s described as the football version of the green & gold room)

Yes. I'm sure it will be super nice, much nicer than Legion Field's club access. The difference being that at Legion, you could watch the game in the box and be inside if it was raining or freezing. At Protective, you'll go to your seats in the stands that won't be different than on the east side (well, maybe seat padding is nicer, but you'll be just as hot, cold, dry or wet). If I cared about the food and drink, I probably would have bought it anyway, but since we don't, East side on the 50 looked awfully attractive to us.

Yeah, it was a debate for me...and I originally planned 125...
Then I realized I really wanted the food & drink

At the risk of saying something we all already know, Protective isn't Legion Field. All of the camera mounts won't be on the West facing East anymore and the stadium will be TV friendly in many ways that Lesion wasn't.

I look forward to making life uncomfortable to miserable for the visiting bench.

I think that a number of us looked at the partial shade/no shelter from rain on the West and compared it to being in the sun early in the season/no shelter/being in the sun when it's cold, added in the price difference, and decided that the East stands were a good value.

RE: Club 125
I imagine some thought went into the scholarship price to encourage what has happened. We still got nice stadium seats and we are right behind the visitors. I know that this group are the ones that made basketball games very rowdy during the Mike Anderson days where Memphis complained so much they moved the student section over. Not to mention this group was the vocal few. I really enjoy yelling at the refs but having the visitor team right there opens up heckling opportunities and they will hear us.

They moved the student section after the riot where the students beat up the Memphis players, threw whiskey bottles full of pee and hit Cal, and kidnapped half of the Blue Crew and held them hostage in the bowels of Bartow for months.

yes. I'll never forget that UAB student in the orange jumpsuit using his jaw to injure Joey Dorsey's shooting hand.

It was a riot! I think I have PTSD.
