That is a bizarre statement...

The only way a fan would be concerned about getting a former 4* recruit to walk on is if the fan doesn't believe that Penny can manage playing time on his roster.

I think Atlanta has made it abundantly clear that is how he feels with his Lomax crusade.

Boogie whom Atlanta thinks deserves all the minutes he could stand
Per 40 minutes:
17.4 Points
3.5 Reb
2.6 assists
38.6 From the 3

Tyler Harris who Atlanta thinks doesn't deserve a non-scholarship Roster spot:
Per 40 Minutes at Memphis
17.0 Points
3.5 Reb
1.6 Assists
36.4% from the 3

Now remember this is a Tyler Harris who will be two years older than when he achieved those stats.

He also thinks Baugh is a jump shot away from the NBA. He has lost his marbles.

But saying Harris & Lawson are wayward is correct. Just because some here have chosen to attribute the most negative use of wayward is on them not me. As vocabulary.com says, "Someone wayward is a little stubborn and independent — they're determined to find their own way and are not easily controlled. Being wayward can mean a few things, but they all have something to do with doing your own thing — often, going against what others want you to do. A rebellious student is wayward." And this certainly accurately describes Harris & Lawson's.

But apparently in this day, the wok have no room for any views but their own.

There is plenty of room for your views. There is also plenty of room for everyone laughing at you and telling you that they don't make any sense. Why would any objective fan be dumb enough to say that he won't help us win games? He helped us win games as a freshmen 2 years ago.

Lol, half the site has you on ignore. What's that tell you?

It tells me that your concept of half is about as accurate as your concept of everything. Whatever the number is, the entire board is mocking you right now. What does that tell you?

You are the website equivalent to standing at the 50 yard line of the Liberty Bowl with your panties rolled down to your ankles.

He'd look kind of strange with three feet!

In the last 24 hours you have argued with the Mayo Clinic, The Dictionary, and everyone when you call a 4* walkon that averaged 10 points per game for us over two seasons; useless. Everyone is laughing at you Jethro.

haha, per 40.

From 2019: Isaiah Maurice: 15 and 9. DJ 16 and 6. Clearly it was a mistake playing DJ twice as many minutes as Isaiah.

From 2008:

Jeff Robinson: 13 and 10. Taggart: 14 and 10. Taggart played 400 more minutes.

Antonio Anderson played the most minutes. 12 and 5 per 40.

Kemp played 600 fewer minutes but was 15 and 4 per 40. Cal clearly screwed up not playing Kemp more than Anderson.

Same for Mack and Rose.

Rose was better dishing, but his per 40 slash was 20/7/6 while Mack (playing 700 minutes less) was 22/2/5.

And so much better than Anderson.

TLDR:

Using per 40 is stupid.

He scored 660 points in his first 2 years here. Assuming he has 2 years remaining eligibility (with the extra year they gave everyone), and he plays those 2 years, he will almost certainly score 1,000 points for his Memphis career.

How many teams have a 1,000 point walk on?

Yeah...

So comparing someone who played 20 minutes to someone who played 23 minutes is the same as comparing someone who played 9 to someone who played 27. Is that what you are saying.

You see I am not comparing some mop up guy with a starter...I normalizing stats between two guys who played similar minutes.

Two entirely different situations and you should know this...And I believe you do.

That 1,000 point goal is likely going to be tougher as I expect his minutes to be solidly reduced compared to his first two years. I hope the kid proves the many wrong and is able to meaningfully contribute to the team but that is certainly going to be a hill to climb with the expected talent on the way and already here.

Only needs to average 6 points a game for 57 games over 2 seasons.

2 years left. If his minutes get cut in half, he's still got a good shot.
