Yeah, my son is 19 and had a wreck last year that totaled his car. He just didn't see someone and they hit him. Kids that age aren't very experienced drivers and do dumb stuff. Driving in LA is a bit of a nightmare anyway. Most of the time though they don't get killed doing it. Must be super tough for his mom who was with him.

That's not really new. I had two friends in high school that were killed trying to beat out a train.

Driven down Riverdale recently? It’s insane. I usually do around 55 on it, which is too fast to begin with, and boneheads zip past me zigzagging around traffic.

Street racing or just driving fast in general has been around for a very long time.

Don't blame it on just young kids now.

There is nothing that can make up for the tragedy of someone dying so young. Another thing that is so sad is that If he would have had the money from his first NBA contract, that money might have transformed the lives of those around him almost in the same way as when someone donates their organs.

I got a rental on Cottonwood and the mailbox has been knocked down 7 or 8 times from speedster turning the curve. They fly down this 2 lane 35 mph limit street like it's the Indy 500.
