New & Improved Spring Game Thread
Those of you who went. Which quarterback looked the best? Which players looked good? Which players looked bigger/faster compared to last year? Which players surprised you?

Was pop back on the field? Thought I saw him in one of the highlights.

RE: New & Improved Spring Game Thread
To me, Gunnell was more mobile that expected. Big arm. Brown and Parrish seems like they could have scored on a few of their QB runs if the play wasn't called dead as soon as someone touched them. Henigan looked solid also, he knew where the ball was supposed to go, did not look like a freshman. I noticed on a couple of running plays, the running backs (Clark/Watkins) had more vision than in the past and made a good cut to find the open hole and not run up the back of an OL. I thing the D looked ok, they had at least 2-3 interceptions if I recall. Julian Barnett had a INT and looks like a player right away. As someone else said, a program with names & numbers would have been nice, should have printed on at home like some did.

RE: New & Improved Spring Game Thread
Both OL and DL looked bigger.
#99 Kajuan Robinson made plays up and down the line. He looks like a big time player.
OL is hard to see much in real time, but I noticed a couple of good blocks by Devonte Dobbs and Mitchell Gildehaus.
Julian Barnett made an exceptional INT. Overall DB group looked good.
I think we take a big step forward on defense this year.
Gunnell looked to be the best overall QB. Henigan looks to have the tools to be a big time QB.
Having said that, I think Kelion Brown has to be on the field somehow/somewhere.
RBs all run hard, but not much breakaway speed. Seemed to read their blocks fairly well.
Jeremy Tate has some great size at WR, made some decent plays on the ball.
Other vets made plays, Calvin Austin, Jacobi Francis, etc.
Overall, this team looks to have all the makings of something special. Lots of talent all over that field. May not be as flashy as other Tiger teams, but will be better in the trenches, defense looks like it can be the strongest since 2014, and still have some explosive playmakers. Gonna have to gel all these new pieces together though - that’s no small task. Hope they do a lot of off-season work together to get their chemistry down. Big things are within their grasp, just gotta put in the work.

RE: New & Improved Spring Game Thread
On the field, I came away with 2 things..... 3 things.
Barnett is going to be awesome.
Brown needs a goal-line package.
We seem to be oriented to the run moreso than the passing game. New coach? Maybe...
OFF the field (specifically about the Blue/Grey game, not fall ball), we have got to shed this small-time mentality. The facebook fiasco is outrageous.
The lack of concessions.
Not opening up the whole stadium for seating.
We just never seem to be prepared, as an organization.

Brown was the most comfortable with the offense. Parish, Gunnel and Henigan all did something good. Coach John’s was disappointed that all QBs missed some checks. Several dropped passes. Some miscommunication on routes. We will be fine. Not 6th heard Brady White fine.
OL is missing some people and they have to got to develop synergy as a unit. Takes time. Same thing with WR. Several out with injuries and some not here yet.
Kicking game was weak but we will get there.

I remember a time in our history when we had no quarterbacks that were capable of running an offense, now we have 4 quarterbacks that are potential starters. Will be an exciting season.

RE: New & Improved Spring Game Thread
Without knowing who the QBs were, you would not know Hennigan was supposed to be at HS prom last weekend. Seems to have a bright future. I was disappointed in Parrish. Gunnell & Brown were okay. Overall, the passing game just looked okay. Nothing vertical. I'm sure it was by design, but I hope it's not a snapshot of a conservative future.
I expect one of these guys to pull a David Moore, and transfer out as soon as the starter is announced. Transfer is likely to be Brown, since Gunnell and Parrish have already transferred. Surely it wouldn't be Hennigan.

I’ve got a no facts feeling that we may see a big arm package and a run/pass option package brought in periodically more than we’ve seen in any of our last three coaches.
No way we keep all 4 main guys through eligibility. The way it works in college FB now.

RE: New & Improved Spring Game Thread
The two RBs who have the break away speed and who are the true studs according to the coaches did not play in the Spring game. One is a true freshman other was held out injury.
