nope. Politics is the twilight zone of and by itself.
Media is the hype zone. For anything and everything.

Jarreau had 6 assists and 10 turnovers against us. Is that considered successful?

i want to scream

Maybe all of us here could have a group scream on zoom.

*Yes, I picked up on that. Hence, defensive schemes and team effort. Losing doesn’t diminish our defensive effort.

I indicated we didn't have a PG that could defend a Jarreau-type PG. Jarreau had 19 pts in one game, 11 in the other & we lost both. You don't make wins out of losses doing the same things over & over despite the effort.

I get it. You think we lost both games because we didn’t have a 6’10” point guard. I’m only pointing out the fact that the way Penny has the team playing defense didn’t make it easy for him. He had 10 turnovers for a reason.

And now you've reached the level of absurdity. 6'10" PG? And 10 TOs in two games, trusting your stats are correct, while he scored 30 pts in two wins. Like I said we currently don't have a PG that can defend a Jarreau-type PG.

We missed 10 free throws and lost on a last second buzzer beater in the first game.

Missed 11 free throws and lost by 2 the second game.

We could have won more games making free throws regardless of the oppositions point guard.

I question whether Jarreau was actually the point guard. And even if he was, Sasser was listed at 6-1, so it’s not like we were undersized. In fact with Lomax out we didn’t have a player under 6-3. So his point makes no sense.

From the time after their loss to Wichita, to their loss against Baylor, they won 10 straight games. Against us, they won by a combined 5 points in 2 games. In the other 8 games, including the 3 NCAA tournament games, they won by an AVERAGE of 25 points.

The only thing they did well against us was defend free throws. Just when I think it's IMPOSSIBLE for you to say something more ridiculous, you keep raising the bar. The entire board is laughing at you.

Did you not watch our games with them? Jarreau was the point guard. Sasser is a gunner. We defended Nolley on Grimes, Ellis on Sasser, and Quinones on Jarreau in both games. Lomax would have certainly helped us defensively in those games (providing a 3rd high level perimeter defender). That said, I don't know who you guys think is out there (in the transfer portal) who is a better perimeter defender than what we had last year. If Lester and Damion couldn't contain Jerreau, there likely aren't many who can (obviously Davion Mitchell shut him down in the national semifinal, but there don't seem to be many Mitchells floating around the transfer portal (yes, I am aware that Davion was a transfer)).

If their stats don't give them the answer, they are lost. They obviously don't watch the games. And no doubt FT shooting hurt us in both games, as it did in several of our losses but you can't ignore our inability to defend tall perimeter players like UH's PG Jarreau & Grimes, another 6'5" perimeter man. Between those two, they scored about 1/2 of UH's points.

Everyone watched us outplay Final Four Houston twice; once in a true road game, the other down the road in Texas. We all saw it with our own eyes.

We had one of the best defenses in the entire NCAA. Literally every single one of our fans is aware of this. Literally every single person who watched us, everyone in the media, everyone on the planet mentioned this the entire season. You are so clueless, I'm worried about you. You are delusional. This is who you have been arguing with in the last 48 hours.

- The dictionary
- The Mayo Clinic
- Mackenzie Milton's mom (about Mackenzie Milton)
- Tyler Harris won't help us win games (when he already did for 2 years)
- We can't guard tall perimeter players

Incredible.

I have it on good authority...we lost those games because of free-throw shooting too.

We went to the NIT not the NCAA tourney & we lost twice to UH. We need some improvement, not sitting still - for all of our outplaying UH. But keep up that narrative of we're fine without a big level PG.

Keep up the narrative that Boogie was our point guard, 6th on the team in assists, and great at getting to the rim, even though his 2 point shooting percentage was no good, and Baugh will make the NBA if he improves his jump shot. 03-lmfao01-wingedeagle

Tell us about how we can't guard the perimeter and don't play good defense when we are #5 in the entire NCAA in defensive field goal percentage. The numbers lie, you know better.

It's not about stats. You know more than the Mayo Clinic, and you have your own special dictionary that is different from everyone else's. We get it.

Grimes had 17 & 21, Jarreau had 19 & 11. Both perimeter guys. I guess they didn't know we had such a great perimeter defense. As good as our defense stats were, and they were good, we need better against the better teams to improve our position next season. History shows that a high level PG is needed to win big & great defense.

History shows that it took Grimes going out of his mind, us mising 22 free throws, Lomax being injured, and a Hail Mary, for a seasoned, experienced Final Four team that was clobbering everyone else, to barely beat us twice in Texas.

At least you have something in common with Grimes, so there is that. Congratulations.

Grimes avg'd 18pts this past season. Apparently some think it's "going out of his mind" to score 17 & 21 against us. 01-wingedeagle

Point is a good coach will look at all aspects of his team, right? So when two perimeter guys from the opponent are scoring over 50% of their teams points against us, he'll want to consider how to limit their production. He doesn't just say, oh well let's shoot FTs better. - because we were poor at the line all year except a couple of games in the NIT.

The fact remains we missed 22 free throws and lost two winnable games had we made them.

A coach won't say, let's not shoot 48% from the line and let's not miss 22 free throws in 2 games? 03-lmfao01-wingedeagle

This is extra hilarious even by your standards. This coming from the ignore the stats guy, who claims that he is the only guy watching the games. You think Grimes scoring 14 points in the last 8 minutes is normal? You think the three of them that he made from way outside with a hand in his face is normal? It is incredible how someone could never have any concept of reality.

From now on, just say the exact opposite of what you think, and the entire board won't laugh at you.

There you have it.
This is all part of the crusade to prove to us neophytes that Penny is a bad coach.
What more proof do you need? A Final Four team beat us twice, AND we haven't found a 6' 5" McDAA PG during the offseason.
Best to just ignore this poster as you will not convince him, and he comes up with the strangest things to support his agenda.

Funny, if your deductive reasoning wasn't so bizzare. I guarantee you Penny isn't just hoping we shoot FTs better. And BTW aren't we attempting to be a FF team?
