Not doubting his fandom...but he is on the company dime. He provides color for football games, and he's a sports anchor on tv-5.

Jarvis is an outstanding man, I didn't know he was ill. So pleased to hear he is doing well... he has represented the Memphis community with class...

good to hear, Jarvo is a Memphis sports institution

loved him doing games with Jack Eaton. Eaton livened up some dismal football years for me.
I learned to love Tiger football with him calling the games.

As a kid, I became a Tigers fan while listening to Eaton during Moe Iba’s last year. Big Jack was so good I never realized we were horrible.

I became a Tiger basketball fan watching games with my grandfather. He was yelling and hollering at the tv as we played UCLA in the championship game (I had just turned 4).
I dunno too many fans who have/had his level of passion.
It took me a while longer to get into watching football... but it is now my favorite sport. (Sorry Paw-Paw)

I'm happy for Jarvis and his family.

I pray that he stays cancer free.
