Don’t be an ass. It’s a great gesture by a good dude.

Why is it a great gesture?

Is it difficult for us to schedule teams for us to be a buy game?

we weren't mighty back then.

And we were never in the same conference as them for football.

Glad to see these. Would have preferred 2:1 but will take it.

I seem to recall an experiment with a 2nd mascot tiger. A smaller version that was supposedly the baby - diaper included. Not sure what drove that decision or how long it lasted.

Well considering it took less than two years for Norvell to get a game scheduled, yet Fuente has been gone for how long and still won't throw a bone this way.

diaper = baby

It went on for several years, I think. I didn't remember the diaper until '87 said it. I recall Bouncer & Pouncer for years though.

At some point I guess before 2010, watching a road bball game broadcast, I noticed that there was only one mascot and assumed they only took one on the road. When I've thought about it for home games I've tried to see if there were two and I've wondered if maybe they do two at football for the larger arena. Guess not.

02-13-banana You may be thinking of a portrait by Danny Davis titled Tiger Camp. I shows several tiger cubs clawing and chewing up the jerseys of our competitors at that time.
I have #74 of 500 that he produced.

There was a guy in a smaller Tiger suit for at least a couple of years.

You don’t think we could play just about any team if we offered to go to their place with no return game?

I'm sorry but with the system as it is we're not getting a home-and-home with Florida State ... I don't care who's coaching there. Or Virginia Tech. I doubt the Mississippi State agreement will be extended to be honest. I hope it is but I would be very surprised.

Nope...People pay for buy games to WIN.

Nobody is in the business of paying for a possible loss.

You don't think Norvell helped get this together? If Fuente wanted to do it, a game at Va. Tech would've been done by now. It hasn't simply because Fuente doesn't want to.

Norvell at least has made the effort to give Memphis a game. I don't care that it is a buy game Norvell could've taken the easy way out and said no, but he didn't.

Plenty of easier wins out there for Norvell to schedule...This was done as a favor.

Essentially what I'm trying to say. It's a good gesture from Norvell to schedule this game when he in all honesty didn't have to.
