When are we booting the Mens coach? Been very disappointing the last three years.

Something that should have been done years ago. A lot of problems with the Men’s program both on and off the court and ineptitude from the coaching staff

The NCAA division I women's tennis selection show will take place on Monday, May 3 at 6 p.m. EST and will stream on NCAA.com.

Rice is 15-6. Think not making the championship match puts Rice outside the bubble. Haven't paid attention to other conference auto bids.

So, Rice made the NCAA tournament in 3 of the 4 major women's sports, and won the NIT in the other. 04-cheers

Michigan in the first round ...

FTR, Michigan's roster is all-USA, except for a junior from Ontario and a freshman from Greece. Five of the 10 hail from Michigan, Illinois or Indiana.

(Our Owls' 8-person roster is a United Nations assembly of two from Australia & Belgium and one from each from Ireland, Italy, Morocco and the UK.)

EDT, right? 03-wink

(A friend was lamenting just the other day how often people say EST, CST, etc. when they really mean EDT, CDT... My recommendation is to just say "CT" or "Central".)

MY recommendation is to go to permanent daylight time.

I wonder how rank to other conferences.

The NCAA news release didn't mention it, but looking at various conference (and other) announcements, I believe that the rundown of conference affiliations in this year's bracket is:

13 - SEC
_9 - ACC
_6 - Big 12
_5 - Pac 12
_3 - Conference USA
_3 - Big Ten
_1 - AAC (only #9 seed, UCF)

(I did not look at other conferences. I limited myself to the P^ ... plus the AAC. :-) )

Some oddities:

> Several at-large teams had .500 or worse W-L records.
> Northwestern will host the 1st two rounds of the quad headed by the #10 seed, Texas A&M.

It seems that some conferences did not have a season, opening up more slots this year in the tournament for at large bids (less conference winners) and helping some teams qualify that other years might not have been able to. Helped Rice this go around after losing in CUSA tournament
