Media Dox, Intimidate Paramedic, Cop Fired
Quote:A Utah paramedic who contributed ten dollars to a defense fund for Kyle Rittenhouse is now the victim of a media terror campaign.

It all began Friday when the far-left Guardian took advantage of a data breach at a Christian website to publish the names of private citizens who contributed to the fund. Rittenhouse, who was 17 at the time, is charged with shooting and killing two people during last year’s Black Lives Matter riots in Kenosha, Wisconsin. Rittenhouse is pleading self-defense, and after video of him under attack was released online, many believe he is being unfairly scapegoated and prosecuted.

Using this hacked material, a monster journalist named Jason Nguyen from ABC4, Salt Lake City’s ABC-affiliate, decided to make a play for a CNNLOL gig by terrorizing this paramedic (whose name won’t be published here):

Nguyen named the man, and with cameras in tow, even showed up at his house in a way that revealed all kinds of details that gave away the location of this private residence.

This fascist media monster, who obviously has a problem with the presumption of innocence and due process, also tried to get the paramedic fired by ratting him out to his employer. The city responded by releasing a statement that said it is “conducting an investigation into the matter”:

We can confirm that [NAME REDACTED] is an employee of the West Valley City Fire Department. We have become aware of a donation made using his government email account. We are conducting an investigation into this matter, however, such a donation would be representative of personal actions and not those of West Valley City.

Finally, in an obvious attempt to gin up public outrage against the city for not firing the paramedic, this scumbag reporter closed with this statement: “[NAME REDACTED] will not be placed on administrative leave during this investigation. It’s not clear how long that will take.”

What we have here is nothing less than the corporate media engaging in political terrorism, the deliberate act of painting a big target on the back of a man who dared express “unacceptable” political beliefs with a small donation.

This is also the media’s way of warning the rest of us not to behave in “inappropriate” ways, a direct threat to the overall public that This Could Be You if you dare color outside the suffocating lines drawn by our fake, far-left media overlords.

While I have no personal opinion of Rittenhouse’s guilt or innocence – this is a complicated case — I am perfectly comfortable saying this is the perfect case for which to launch a defense fund. Rittenhouse has a compelling case, not only for his innocence, but for his claim of being the victim of political persecution.

This paramedic did the most American thing an American can do: he stood up for the rights of an individual against the power of the State. And now this paramedic is being openly and publicly persecuted, doxxed, and threatened by the corporate arm of the State – our dangerous and fascist media.

This is nothing short of McCarthyism, and the only way to beat it is to brazenly and belligerently ridicule, expose, and defy it.

I'm not sure which is the bigger virus in this country, our government or the media. They relish in destroying peoples' lives if they have differing opinions from their hive mind.

RE: Media Dox, Intimidate Paramedic
Quote:A local ABC News affiliate in Salt Lake City has gone silent and is refusing to comment as one of its reporters deleted tweets about his doxxing and harassing of a local paramedic over his tiny donation to Kyle Rittenhouse's legal defense fund.

What are the details?
The news outlet, KTVX-TV, as well as its reporter, Jason Nguyen, failed to respond to numerous requests for comment by phone and email on Monday. TheBlaze reached out to the parties to ascertain whether they stood by their reporting in the face of harsh criticism and what their intention was in contacting the paramedic's employer.

Both the outlet and Nguyen were skewered online over the weekend over their decision to run a negative story on the paramedic who donated $10 to a defense fund for Rittenhouse, a teenage boy from Illinois facing controversial murder charges for his actions in Kenosha, Wisconsin, last summer.

As part of their coverage, Nguyen and a news crew approached the paramedic's home and started filming as they knocked on the door, reportedly hoping to "get his side of things."

In a subsequent article, KTVX-TV disclosed the name of the paramedic, Craig Shepherd, and aired footage from outside his home. The news outlet also contacted West Valley Fire Department, where Shepherd works, prompting the department to respond by saying it had launched "an investigation" into the contribution.

To make matters worse, the outlet admitted it obtained the information about Shepherd's donation via a data breach at the crowdfunding website GiveSendGo, through which the donation was made. GiveSendGo describes itself as the "fastest-growing Christian crowdfunding site made by Christians for Christians."

What else?
Shortly after the story was published, commenters on social media blasted Nguyen and the news station for "stalking" and "harassing" a private citizen over his contribution.

Nguyen had posted a photo of him knocking on the paramedic's door on Twitter, but as of Tuesday morning, that tweet had been deleted, along with another tweet in which Nguyen reported that Shepherd's employer was conducting an investigation after Shepherd was "caught donating $10 ... using his government email."

In their place, Nguyen, obviously distressed by the backlash, posted another tweet, saying, "Thank you all for your opinions. We hear you and appreciate each and everyone of you for reaching out."

But that didn't satisfy Nguyen's critics.

One commenter responded to Nguyen's tweet by saying, "You doxxed a private citizen, my dude. You're going to have to do much, much better than this."

Republican communicator Matt Whitlock added, "I do hope this isn't the last we'll hear about this episode from you and [KTVX-TV]. An apology/explanation would go a long way, it's just hard to see how this met any kind of editorial standards."

Bearing Arms editor Cam Edwards joined the conversation, writing, "You engaged in one of the worst pieces of trash TV that I've ever seen. Your apology and the resignations of everyone involved in this story's approval and promotion should lead tonight's newscast."

Someone should dox Nguyen with his address. This is a case where it would be justified.

As well as the head of the news department at that TV station.

No, don't dox him, merely ask him to provide his home address via social media. If he refuses, ask him why not?

RE: Media Dox, Intimidate Paramedic
Quote:A Virginia police officer with 18 years on the force has been fired for anonymously donating $25 to the defense fund of teenager Kyle Rittenhouse.

Rittenhouse, 18, has been charged with two felony counts of homicide and one count of felony attempted homicide for allegedly killing two men and wounding a third during a riot in Kenosha, Wisconsin, last year. The teen is facing potential life in prison.

Norfolk Police Lt. William Kelly wrote a message to accompany his donation to Rittenhouse: “God bless. Thank you for your courage. Keep your head up. You’ve done nothing wrong. Every rank and file police officer supports you. Don’t be discouraged by actions of the political class of law enforcement leadership.”

Kelly’s anonymous donation via a city email address was made public by The Guardian. As highlighted by Daily Wire investigative reporter Luke Rosiak, the left-wing outlet used data breached from charity website GiveSendGo to dox numerous low-level police officers and paramedics who made small donations to help colleagues targeted by Black Lives Matter.

Norfolk City Manager Chip Filer said Tuesday that a review of the internal investigation of the donation found that Kelly violated city and departmental policies, the New York Post reported.

“His egregious comments erode the trust between the Norfolk Police Department and those they are sworn to serve,” Filer said, adding, “The City of Norfolk has a standard of behavior for all employees, and we will hold staff accountable.”

Police Chief Larry Boone said in response that the police force doesn’t “want perceptions of any individual officer to undermine the relations between the Norfolk Police Department and the community.”

RE: Media Dox, Intimidate Paramedic, Cop Fired
Quote:After a Norfolk, Virginia, police officer was fired for donating $25 to Kyle Rittenhouse’s legal defense fund when a hacker-connected group gave “breached” data about anonymous donations to the media, the Christian crowdfunding site that processed his donation is now collecting donations for him.

Distributed Denial of Secrets (DDOS), which the Department of Homeland Security deemed a “criminal hacker group,” obtained the email addresses of anonymous donors to various crowdfunding campaigns on the site GiveSendGo, an alternative to GoFundMe that allows people to send prayers or money to people.

The Guardian, a British newspaper, used the data to dox rank-and-file police officers who had donated to legal support funds of colleagues who had garnered the ire of Black Lives Matter, including Rusten Sheskey, who faced a probe after shooting Jacob Blake. Investigations into Sheskey’s conduct ultimately cleared him of wrongdoing, finding that he did his job properly in apprehending a knife-wielding suspect.

It also doxed police and paramedics who gave money to the legal defense fund of Kyle Rittenhouse, who is charged in the shooting deaths of two people during an anti-police riot in Kenosha, Wisconsin, that came in the wake of Blake’s shooting. Rittenhouse said he was in Kenosha “providing first aid for, like, minor injuries to people” and used the gun to defend himself against rioters. One of the people killed was “a homeless man with a criminal record who was discharged that day from a psychiatric hospital.”

He faces a trial which will determine whether he acted in self-defense or not, but faces hefty legal bills in the process.

Other media joined in the doxing, with a reporter in Utah knocking on the door of a paramedic demanding to know why he gave $10.

Then there was Norfolk police sergeant William Kelly.

The Guardian wrote:

One donation for $25, made on 3 September last year, was made anonymously, but associated with the official email address for Sgt William Kelly, who currently serves as the executive officer of internal affairs in the Norfolk police department in Virginia.

That donation also carried a comment, reading: “God bless. Thank you for your courage. Keep your head up. You’ve done nothing wrong.”

The comment continued: “Every rank and file police officer supports you. Don’t be discouraged by actions of the political class of law enforcement leadership.”

Law enforcement leadership then fired Kelly, a move which was covered by The Washington Post and The New York Times.

Now GiveSendGo has created a campaign on behalf of Kelly.

“A lot of it is just trying to wrap our brains around the state of where things are at. What’s happening in our world that someone can give a $25 donation and lose their job for supporting someone?” GiveSendGo cofounder Heather Wilson told The Daily Wire.

“Kamala Harris promoted giving to bail people who were arrested for rioting, so why wouldn’t that same freedom be afforded to someone else? We’re going to allow and promote it on this side, but prevent it on the other?”

“Even his comments, which are being used against him, his comment was we stand behind you, it was just a positive message. It wasn’t against someone else,” she said.

Her brother, cofounder Jacob Wells, said, “This criminal act of hacking and releasing information, we believe just as we did in allowing Kyle Rittenhouse’s campaign to be an active campaign, that Kelly has the right to have a campaign just like anyone else — to not restrict people from giving to individuals who people want to support.”

He previously told The Daily Wire the media’s goal in using hacked data to name private citizens who gave small amounts to charity could only be to make them targets for retribution and to intimidate others. “There’s no other value other than to make them fearful,” he said.

The thousands of donations to Rittenhouse’s campaign show that many Americans hold beliefs — such as a belief in the right to due process — that media and tech companies apparently view as off-limits, he said.

He said that while GiveSendGo is a Christian company, it did not set out to be a conservative company. It wants to enable charity of all sorts.

But GoFundMe, the best-known crowdfunding website, bans many pleas tied to conservatives, he said. “We’re not trying to be the conservative side, we’re finding that the conservative side would have no other option if it weren’t for GiveSendGo.”

Kelly’s fundraising campaign has a goal of $10,000 — and prayers.
