Yeah. Going by the Colgate game, would have abandoned a running game that was working, had piss poor clock management, a 1/2 doz turnovers, had a fake punt with Kelly that got stuffed because everyone in the stadium was expecting it, and JMU would have lost by 3.
Way to cherry pick the one bad playoff game we had under him, a game where the program knew he was leaving and Nooch was having a horrible day.
You're the one who brought up MH to do comparisons with. Well, NDSU 2017, Elon 2018, UNH 2018. Colgate...Houston was 9-5 in his last 14 games at JMU. 3 of thoose 5 had lesser talent..
MH never had to deal with anything remotely compared to what this team has had to deal with- multiple transfers out of top players, testing, all the virus related protocols, quarantines, postponed/canceled games, etc, etc, etc.
He didn't have to deal with Covid at JMU? Thanks, Captain Obvious. We all saw what Houston's teams did to most opponents they faced, playoffs included. Keep that laserlike focus on the rare miscues.
MH 37-6 (86%)/8-2 playoffs.
Cignetti 20-2 (91%)/4-1 playoffs.
Right now Cignetti has a better overall winning percentage, and the same 80% winning percentage playoffs, as MH had. We'll see how they compare by next Jan after 3 seasons each.

Cig will come out on top of that. He is a really good coach. I think the issues he appears to be having with his OC are over the play calling (guessing). Cig should just start calling the plays himself if that is the issue. I am not happy with the playcalling either. I know others aren't.

Harris from VMI finished 4th in the walter payton award voting and their LB synder is in the top 3 for the buck buchanon award so that does make me feel a bit better about the overall performance in the game
