Transfer I hoped we’d get...
Darious Hall, signs with UCA. Wonder if we wanted him. Wonder if we’ll ever know. Obviously he was fine with both moving down and coming home.

I wonder if Darrell tried to recruit him when he initially left UAF and transferred to DePaul. Maybe bridges were burned at that time.

When Darrell was hired I recall him stating he was going to go after in state kids and thus far the only scholarship player he has brought in is CJ White as a transfer. I don’t ever even see us listed as recruiting any instate kids the last two years. I thought with Bakers AAU connections and Darrels status would get us a few.

RE: Transfer I hoped we’d get...
Always believed our program was more highly regarded outside as compared to inside the State. I thought that some of this was due to the fact that the hogs would not play us or give us the time of day- I have had fairly intelligent folks seem surprised when I told them we were DI. Can't really use that excuse anymore.
I too am somewhat surprised that Darrell hasn't had more luck with in-State kids. There still a couple of more Arkansas kids in the transfer portal (i.e. Sills and McBride), but I thought they were the least likely of the transfers to come here. I have zero inside knowledge, but like I stated above, I can't help but believe that bridges were burned when Hall originally transferred out of Fayetteville.
At this point, I am never surprised when in-State players, who don't get a hog offer, leave the State rather than come to LR. However, it does surprise me that Little Rock kids who transfer because of playing time, don't come home more often.

Message board chatter includes Auburn, Tx A & M, and St. Johns as possible landing spots for Desi Sills. I have seen nothing more substantial. He is from Jonesboro, but he likely believes he is "too good" for the Sun Belt.
