It was off the chain in there. And, while the scoresheet show's a dominant victory, it was anything but until the end. Nashville scored first, took the crowd out of it got a few mins but then Carolina tied it quickly, then took a 2-1 lead. Then Nashville tied it. Canes played kinda sloppy in the first period and Ned looked uncharacteristically uncomfortable in net. Made it through all of period two tied 2-2. Got very chippy at times. The third period was Canes dominant, they took the lead and never looked back with two goals then tacking on an empty netter.
It felt like old times in PNC, even though only about 66% full, it was a substantial difference from the few reg season games i went too, and the place was really really LOUD. The power play was top3 in league all season and looked a bit lost last night, they need to clean that up.
Good start! Can't go Wednesday unfortunately, but will go to game 5 if it gets that far

I've read it didn't sound loud on the national broadcast, because the announcers were remote, but the Bally sports broadcast it was really loud as the announcers were there.

RE: Carolina Hurricanes
Another solid outing in game 2, headlined by STUD goalie Ned making some incredible saves. Of note, they killed off 7 Preds power plays without their best D-Man Slavin who was out with injury. Off to Nashville up 2-0!

Tic-Tac-Toe so they say :)
I had a chance to go last night, but my softball team would have been short without me. The rest of my team proceeded to make no less than 15 errors behind me and make me immediately regret my decision.

Yep. Used to play OF and was backup P, until our #1 moved. I slide into that role and have had ever since. It's actually better for me, my shoulder feels better than it's felt in years. It turns out making strong throws on a regular basis from the OF with a partial rotator cuff tear might not be good for you, who'd a thunk it. haha

RE: Carolina Hurricanes
What a $**** show in Nashville over the weekend. The D is very suspect without Slavin. I still stand by that IMO is was a terrible move to lay down the last 2 games of the year in Nashville. We dominated them through the first 6. Those last two games gave them a pulse and a sense of hope. The longer this series extends, the less likely they beat Tampa who is likely to be resting after they finish the series today

I think I lied about my bandwagon fan level. I thought I would have interest at the onset of the playoffs. I'm checking for live updates, but I'd still rather watch the Cubs play last place Pittsburgh.
That said, great win last night. I'm a big fan of RBA; thoughts on him calling out NHL refs a few days ago?
