I actually think he made those points to those with open minds.

But if he could have gotten Fauci to admit them, that would have resonated with everyone. Or if he had spent his whole 5 minutes getting Fauci, in effect, to take the 5th over and over, that would have been more powerful. If you can get the other side to admit your case on the stand, then you have won.
