Same as Sun Belt and one more than MWC. Considering we had a shortened season with just two non-conference games it makes sense to a degree.

I'm actually not. He didn't catch a single pass last year. Of course, the offense was running the ball so well they didn't have to pass a lot and I'm sure Jaret would have gladly accepted a pass-catching role if the coaches asked him to. But the fact that he didn't have any catches looked bad for him.

How are Buffalo fans feeling about the upcoming season? Seems like Buffalo is losing a lot of good players and now also the head coach and staff.

Not feeling too good about it. Football is that one sport where you need some stability and familiar schemes, etc. to make it all work. Who knows what kind of changes a new staff will bring in? and which players may bolt?
i’m thinking .500 season or above will be a success.

It is a tough time of year to be searching for a new head coach and staff. Hopefully some staff stay and/or are retained for some continuity.

Just saw where basically the entire staff is going to KU.

Really tough situation for Buffalo. I can't remember the last time I saw a team lose their HC and entire staff in May. That leaves so little time for a proper search. Spring ball is over and we're in the middle of recruiting season.

The bulls also lost a lot of talent with Patterson, Koonce, Nunn and Awosika gone.

Yikes.

Four offensive linemen and Kevin Marks are returning so we should be fine if we're going to continue to play smashmouth football. The big question is whether the new coaching staff will screw up what is working (aka "pulling a Jeff Quinn").

Some important and experienced trench guys for the Bulls have hit the portal. Doesn't mean they are gone, but it's obviously not good if they depart.

Nunn was such a good receiver too. All-MAC player last two seasons.

About Patterson not getting drafted: Not sure, but could it be MAC RB's typically aren't drafted? There's Kareem Hunt, I think, & that's all I know. Could size be a factor? The shortened season? Injury?
