RE: Season Tickets Carryover
Anyone know when the mini-season ticket or flex pass plans usually go on sale? I'm thinking of buying two of them to go with my regular full season ticket purchase so I can make sure my friends will be able to enjoy the game with me. Especially if Illinois is still limiting sporting event capacities and NIU won't sell single-game tickets.

This is an interesting take, I always end up buying extra tickets for games with no problem (usually discounted), but this year if limited capacity this might be more challenging. Anyone else buying more tix upfront to ensure being priority to be able to attend?

RE: Season Tickets Carryover
I still can't figure out how they are going to do this unless all COVID restrictions are lifted. Season ticket holders sit all over the place, but many are concentrated in certain areas - such as the chairbacks and benchbacks. People sit together and close to each other. People will be renewing those seats. If the COVID restrictions are going to be maintained, how are they going to do this? Will the people that sit next to and around me still be there? This would be a violation of COVID social distancing restrictions (that are still in place).

Maybe something like NY and California baseball teams and have vaccinated and unvaccinated sections. How is Illinois coming along with its vaccination rates? It seems they are a bit behind compared to northeastern US.

But, we are already in the season ticket renewal phase. I got my shots (which the ticket office won't know). But, what if the people next to me did not get theirs (or perhaps refuse to)? If we all renew our tickets, what happens?

Illinois is behind the rest of the country in everything - except crime, crooked politicians, and financial troubles. We certainly lead the country (if not the world) in those areas! We are also among the top in residents leaving the state.

Maybe 1/3 or 1/2 of the west grandstands will be designated for unvaccinated and the rest for vaccinated. In reality though, most of us are coming into contact with unnvaccinated people everytime we go out to eat, grocery store, shopping, go for a walk, at work (if you're lucky like me and have been going to work this entire time), etc. I'm sure everyone will have to keep their masks on in the stadium. I'm vaccinated as well and I still wear my mask outdoors and probably will continue to for another year or so. If I don't know people and can't verify if they have been vaccinated I just always keep my mask on.

Seems to me the whole vaccinated vs unvaccinated thing will be OBE by September. Illinois is planning for Phase 5 by June 11, which means no capacity limits. JB said there will be no vaccine passports in Illinois. My guess at this time is Huskie Stadium will be open for full capacity, but of course we haven’t had a sellout in years, so I’d be surprised to see it half full. If you’re worried about being near other people, you should probably stay home or find more space at the top of the stadium.

Masks will be another issue. At the spring game, no one was enforcing masks and half the people weren’t wearing them. I’d expect less mask wearing by September. If you want to wear one, feel free. But I wouldn’t expect the mask police to be harassing people to wear a mask. I wouldn’t be surprised to see mask mandates gone by then as well.

With Pritzker running the show, who knows. Illinois is in th "Bridge" stage. Thought it was 1 to 5. Guess I didn't read small print of "bridge" stage between 4 and 5.

RE: Season Tickets Carryover
I am still confused about the season ticket renewals. And leave it to Athletics to confuse me! The online renewal includes the season tickets, parking fee, and premium seat (chairback or benchback) fee. Okay, easy enough (I think). Yet, there is a form included in the packet that includes the parking fee and premium seat fee. So, which is it, Athletics? Online or paper form? To be safe, I will send back the paper form and state that it was all paid online. How much do you want to bet that there will be screw-ups with this? What the hell is the problem with printing out the invoice and including it in the packet as has been done in the past? Why make things more confusing? I prefer paying with a physical check, but now I need to put it all on a credit or debit card.

Trying like heck to buy Season Tickets (first time). So unclear online. Is it easiest just to call?

Yes. It’s best to do it over the phone. That way, you’ll also know immediately where the seats are located. Call Colin Bruning in the ticket office. He’s very good.

I agree it is much easier to call than order Season tickets online. Maybe it is my age, but online is rough IMO

RE: Season Tickets Carryover
I'm hoping my ticket situation is now in order. It started out with having the wrong seats assigned to me. (I changed them last year.) Then, the mess with renewing online and the carryover from last year. I requested physical tickets because I do not want any issues on game day. The Dog Fan principle states that if something can go wrong with NIU Athletics, rest assured that it will. I do not want any issues on game day with electronic tickets. I want ticket in hand, which I will give the ticket checker at the gate as I get patted down to see if I am trying to enter with any hot dogs in my pockets. If the ticket checker is a nice young lady, I will certainly make sure that she checks me all over to be sure that I am not entering with anything illegal. They can never be too sure with me!

RE: Season Tickets Carryover
Questions I’ve had in renewing have been quickly responded to by phone or email by both TJ and Amy.
