Frazier is mentioned as a candidate and they also mention the main reason why he probably won't get the job.

RE: Wisconsin's AD search
Meh - On field performance isn't really that much of his problem. We've won championships while he has been here in numerous sports(FB, Gymnastics, CC).
He's made 2 hires in the revenue sports in FB & MBB but both are too early to tell if they will make a positive impact.
Much like everything here some people hate him and some love him. I think he's done a decent job given our resource constraints.

Yeah, I wouldn't want to be judged in this era with the lack of funding, attendance etc...

Sorry, I meant, that guy is world class. Our sports programs are world leading thanks to him and all he's done. Single handedly.

Funny thing is that his act would probably work there. Big Donor focus.

Golly gee whiz! And right when Frazier releases the five-year recap, which mentions him about a zillion times and gives him credit for every single positive thing that has happened ... fund-raising, inclusion, student-athletes' academic success, the Nelson Club, you name it. Will coincidental wonders never cease!

I noticed the same thing. Lol. All the while leaving out the missteps and poor decisions on his part.

NIU financially handicapped Frazier. State funding in disarray. Alumni not donating. Attendance low. You have to judge him by how much he did with so little. Not saying he is great but he was handicapped.

I was hoping that the five-year recap would have given him credit for all the deserving contract extensions he was famous for.

Yes, that’s true, but if he handled the donors better, he could have brought in more donations.

I think he was handling the donors better. He always made sure donors had plenty of hot dogs when they attended home games.

I think klake and DF sum things up considering NIU is in Illinois.

The Athletics staff relatively speaking is small and has had excessive turnover.
Check out the size of other MAC schools for comparison.

Whatever you do, don’t pull up the Staff Directory of a P5.......OMG!

That is an issue. When he is st games, he should focus on donors. He know where donors tailgate.

Very true. A couple years ago, I was trying to get into my parking space at Huskie Stadium. He was standing in the narrow aisle talking to a big donor. I had to drive up to him and honk my horn for him to move so I can get to may space. As I drove by him, he gave me a dirty look like how dare I ask him to move! If I was one of the mega donors, he would have directed people to move away as I drive to my space.

I think that your beeping action started his mind to focus on a conspiracy to deny you the enjoyment of a hot dog at a NIU sporting event. I do believe that he sent a letter to all Huskie concession stand employees with of a picture of yourself that said "if this man comes up to order a hot dog, please tell them that you are out of hot dogs. He beeped at me at a football tailgate and this is my revenge."
Sincerely,
STF.

And NOW we know the rest of the story! I apologize to all you hot dog loving fans because the hot dog shortage is my fault. All I wanted to do was park my car, and look at all the trouble I've caused. Oh, woe is me!! 03-weeping
