As far as the Lawsons, I am not too thrilled about them coming to Memphis.. Why Penny wants a kid who was a scrub in Oregon in the first place???.. and then you got the family who are toxic AF.

"Scrub"

Really.

He didn't start or play a a major role. That's what most call a scrub. Don't think it particularly derogatory. He has talent justed played a scrub role at Oregon.

Started one-third of their games, and played 20 mpg. That's not a scrub - not that there's anything wrong with that.

Stats say he avg 17+ per game but call it 20. That said, avg 4.4 pts per game, with less than 1 steal, less than 1 asst & shooting 50% FTs is not a significant role. And BTW his mins & starts went up or down based upon the availability of 5*Dante & Oregon playing an inside guy or small ball. Or it could be said he wasn't productive given the mins he consumed

You have just got to do better with stats. You give Stammers too much ammo, and then we all have to suffer watching you get killed.

He averaged 19.5 mpg his freshman year, and 18 last year. Not quite 20 - but certainly not 17.

But it's the "scrub" comment to which we are responding. If you start one-third of the games, and avg 18-19 mpg, you are simply not a scrub.

He never avg 20 mins/game (ESPN say 17.8) as you indicated but, like I said previously have it your way - it only shows him less productive the more mins you say he played because he still avg 4.4 pts, less than one steal, less than one asst, & 50% from the FT line - this from a guy some here say can play the 1-3 but played less mins as a soph than he did as a freshman - not a good trend.. And BTW, I never called him a scrub. I saw that comment as a subjective opinion another poster made. Subjective opinions are personal & may not meet a purely objective measurement & while you might quote all sorts of stats, I'm guessing the poster who made the comment just had another opinion. And in the spirit of full disclosure, I added in my reply that I thought Chandler had talent.

Here's the scrub comment that I DIDN'T make. I simply expressed in reply that I didn't think it that derogatory.
