Some new details regarding 2021 season tailgating and tickets for he JSU game
Quote:While selecting parking locations, patrons will have the opportunity to reserve a season tailgate space and choose from two options. A total of 91 tailgate spaces are available for purchase in the Gold Rooftop Tailgate located just southwest of Protective Stadium. These spaces are the width of three normal parking spaces so that fans can park their car and have adequate room for a personal tailgate setup with great views of downtown and Protective Stadium. The second option is to purchase a season tailgate space in the Green Lot. Tailgate locations will be along the west and south perimeter of the Green Lot and specific locations will be allocated following the seat selection process based upon the Blazer Boosters Priority Points System. All personal tailgate spaces are $180 for the season, and fans can purchase up to 4 spaces per account.
A limited number of game day cabanas are on sale during the 2021 UAB Football seat selection and will be located in the North Endzone of Protective Stadium. Game day ccabanas are $10,000 annually plus the cost of season tickets, and the cabanas can accommodate up to 24 guests per game. For more information, contact Jay Anderson at jasona@uab.edu or (205) 996-5994.
Season ticket holders will also have exclusive access to purchase tickets to the opener against Jacksonville State as part of the 2021 UAB Football seat selection process. The neutral site contest is scheduled for Wednesday, Sept. 1 in Montgomery's Cramton Bowl. Reserved tickets are available for $20 and with premium hospitality options available upon request for $70 or $100.

I've positioned BT to at least have a shot there so that's Plan A for the tailgate. Plan B might be the Green lot. I'm hoping that the people before me choose HOF or Gameday done right folks or maybe use the club seats as tailgate

How have you positioned BT to have a shot at the HOF rooftop parking??
Not sure what you meant about 'using club seats as tailgate' either?? can you explain your thinking on this?

The alumni society released their tailgate plan:
https://alumni.uab.edu/s/1881/alumni19/i...&pgid=1823
Since they did away with dues I was wondering how they'd afford to offer the free tailgates. The answer is it will now cost $250/person for a season pass to their tailgate on The Southern Kitchen's rooftop.

So that is $50 per game, per person, for access to a good location, a meal and two adult beverages, and a couple of buttons and a shaker. Ouch!

I know some folks that have been associate Alumni Society members & the communication to what happens to them hasn’t been good. Does anyone know if that $250/person is available to people that have been paying the associate membership dues. One person talked to two different people with the Alumni Society & got two different answers as to whether they can remain an associate member.

Not HOF parking - Gold parking. Club seats would be like being in the Champions Club where food was provided/catered there & you "tailgate" there instead of actual tailgate. IIRC the club seats at the stadium do get you a private area to get your food. I'm hoping that many ahead of me choose something other than Gold so we have a shot to get in to it for tailgating. Attalla, blazerjay & a couple of others are still having discussions about what our Plan A/B/C options are - so much unknown even from UAB on what tailgating will be like. By giving just a little more than I normally do, it gives us more options on tailgating choices. Gold might not end up being the best, something else may. It'd be nice if UAB had it's act together on actual set ups for the lots & who's got what available so we can pick but alas ...

The in stadium end zone cabana areas are $10,000 per season PLUS the cost of season tickets with a maximum capacity of 24. $10000 + $3000 (24*$125) = $13000/24 = $541.67 per person for the season / 5 games $108.33 per game per person at maximum occupancy. I think we stick to one of the lots.

Going to miss the Alumni Tailgate. Friends who came with me loved that. ?

The bottom most student lot is where my wife’s office building is located. They aren’t moving to a new location now, so that cuts student parking in half. I assume they will have to move that student parking elsewhere? Possibly into areas currently reserved for ticket holders.

If that's the case, they'll move students further away (Boutwell deck?). They aren't going to lose money generated from the closer lots to provide free parking for students. There is a reason they are way over there.
In any case, that bottom lot is BJCC lot 14 and has always been available for big event parking, I parked there every day for the C-USA tournaments, including weekdays. I don't see how it won't be available on nights and Saturday's, regardless of who's business is located next to it.
