Anyone ignoring Ike misses some great information
Ike ignores no one, he has selective hearing sometimes when his wife is involved
IKE - Are you saying we may be getting a guard from Iowa St not named Tyler Harris?

He is talking about Rasir Bolton. We are in the mix.

That's what kills me about this forum.. all the unrelated bickering on most threads is just ridiculous.. we got some folks in here addicted to conflict.. in a war with themselves.
The Ignore List is your friend.
Not always, you put a guy on you ignore & he still follows you around. Apparently some folks have no real life so they spend their time spouting stats they cut & paste - and calling those who refuse to get in line names.
Refusing to get in line?
Quote:What was Baugh getting, 10-12 mins/game?
Quote:We're taking about a guy with exception physical skills simply going from 3.4 pts avg in 10-12 mins per game to 10 pts in 30 mins playing time avg. That's not much to expect.
Quote: I too believe Baugh could get to the rim off the dribble effectively but when you play 12 mins per game & only avg 3.4 pts, it's virtually impossible to draw that conclusion
Quote:And don't be like some of these morons that argue relentlessly around here, if Baugh plays more that 12 mins on avg, it only shows he is less effective.
Baugh
57 games
20.2 minutes per game
55 games, 13 plus minutes
2 games, less than 12 minutes
And for good measure...

Obviously, Williams didn't lead the team in assists. Facts are like kryptonite to one of our posters.
Like I said, they just follow you around. Life must be sad. SMH

Penny wise,
U know Ike must be careful with names, IKE's sources could be revealed if Ike named names
Ike can say Iowa state, the Dude is not a LOCK but TIGERNATION is working it
Ike recently called a LOCK on a Dude, Ike could have another LOCK very soon. Ike is waiting on news from a reliable source who is waiting on important information from a cousin's girlfriend's mother. The street is very complicated, Ike should be laying low but Ike can't stand the speculation.
Just when Ike thought He was out, they pulled Ike back in.
Iowa State, but Zona is pressing hard.

Btw, this is how you responded to me when I said Lomax would be a good backup on an NCAA team, a good point guard by his junior season, and hopefully an above average D1 point guard by his senior season.
Quote:stammer doesn't rank recruits. He wouldn't have a clue. Stammer simply regurgitates his subscribed rankings as gospel & repeats everything he hears from the CA. Listening to stammer, you'd think there is no need to even play the games. Ironically stammer is much more predictable than the outcome of the games played.
2017:
Stats and rankings don't matter, therefore Tubby is going to be a great coach and Lomax will be a great point guard.
2021:
Stats don't matter. Boogie and Baugh are our point guards and Lomax sucks.
Funny.

I wouldn’t think Arizona would be much of a threat since they recently just fired their coach. Also, how confident is the street on Memphis getting the Lawson bros? I’m hearing it’s already a done deal.

As long as there are radio shows willing to give Keelon a voice to air his grievances, then he’ll always be in a position to bash the coaches and the program. He’s just not worth it.
Dana Altman is as good a coach there is in college ball... yet he’s not good enough, so the traveling Lawson circus is looking for a new town to call home.
Man,,, I love the Lawsons and I PRAY THAT WE GET THEM. They are a great family that loves Memphis more than a lot of the SOBS' that have to hate on everything. By the way why was it so easy for those same SOBS' to forgive that 6"10" quitter that ran off to Virginia or that turncoat that ran of to Tennessee and then trashed Memphis every chance he got but the Lawsons are the scurge? HMMM I wonder what was the difference,,,,,I think I know and so do you. The Lawsons are Memphis and will always be unlike a bunch of the aswholes here. Keelon Lawson is a great father that has raised some great children that also love Memphis and this isn't even counting all of the young people that he has mentored and helped. I
just wish some of you internet warriors would pray that you could have accomplished have of what they have in the community . So effing sad.
The Lawson's quit too. And gave Memphis the finger upon exiting.
-3 for the insinuation. HMMM I wonder what was the difference,,,,,I think I know and so do you.
I forgave those at the time teenagers. I also forgave a teenage Austin Nichols. I also forgave Dane Bradshaw for turning on his city. Teens shouldn't be persecuted forever over dumb mistakes.
Is calling them "quitter" and "turncoat" forgiveness?

Man.. Nichols' exit was controversial.. His timing was terrible but he later publicly apologized to the school and Memphis fans admitting he was wrong.. and that meant a lot even for school officials who reached out to Nichols and allowed him to finish his degree.. Nichols finally graduated from Memphis last year in May after 8 years.
Last I heard, he works for a steel factory now.. Austin used to mow lawns for a while after he left basketball.. DAMN!

It's hard to understand from the point of view of someone loving basketball, football, hockey, baseball, golf, whatever and not being good enough to earn a living from it. For some people sports is no more pleasurable than cleaning a house, mowing a lawn, doing data entry, or any job that normal people have and may or may not enjoy.
The worse thing about being labelled lazy, is that at every level of D1 and professional athletics, the lazy athletes are still working really hard. There is such a fine line between success and failure, that unless you are an incredible talent, you can't get by on 80 or 90% effort. If you don't get back on defense in basketball, or don't run full out after a receiver who is 10 yards behind you every single time; you are labelled as lazy, not caring, or not appreciative of the opportunity you have.
As long as you aren't harming others or doing something illegal, there is nobility in ways that most people earn a living.

I am glad he has now a decent job.. I am sure he is not doing warehouse chores in that steel factory.. He is now making a decent living with a degree.. Of course, he will never make the money he would have made in the NBA..
I always thought Nichols was so talented.. Finesse player with great hands and footwork for a PF.. He would have been drafted staying at Memphis.. He and his family got some ill advice and screwed it all up.. but I guess professional or college sports is not for everybody.

Looking back, he got the best advice. First, he went to a great school in a high profile conference. The family knew him and felt that his best shot at straightening out was to leave Memphis, get a new set of friends, and play for a taskmaster in Bennett. Austin proved who he was and Bennett proved who he was. He didn't even blink when Austin screwed up.
When you look at where he is now, I highly doubt there was any other scenario where it would have turned out different for him.

hahaha bro.
I meant to say he was working for a couple landscaping companies after he left basketball.. One thing is to work for someone, another is owning your own equipment and company.. I am sure you did good if you owned your landscaping company.. It's hard work but you made good money.
