So much for...
Javon Franklin transferring "home". He is going to South Alabama. USA has landed a bunch of good transfers, but I think they had a bunch of guys transfer out as well.

Just saw that Ethan Henderson, another LR kid is leaving the hogs. I would be happy to have him if he wants to come "home". Just never know what kids are thinking. Javon Franklin obviously didn't think he he was too "good" for the Sun Belt. I have no idea if we were even interested, or if he was not interested in playing for his hometown school. Henderson may want to leave the State entirely, or he might want his family to be able to easily attend his home games. Every kid is different.

CJ White graduated from Parkview that same year as Ethan Henderson. Maybe they are best friends. Maybe they hate each other. Regardless, CJ will likely give Ethan the lowdown on playing for Coach Walker. Maybe it will help get him, maybe it won't.

Just looked and it appears that Javon Franklin also graduated from Parkview that same year. Could have had a real reunion here in Little Rock. Regardless, I think Henderson would be a very good player on the Sun Belt level.

Franklin is USA's second transfer from Auburn and they have another from Memphis. Also have a transfer from VMI who averaged 18 points a game. Just based on that, it looks like they could be pretty good next season.

South Alabama has transfers from Auburn (2), Texas A & M, LSU, TCU, Memphis, and VMI's top scorer.

I am pleasantly surprised we haven’t had more Trojans on the list this far. It may help us a little in that with 1000 plus transfers, there are bound to be some good high school players that get overlooked and lost in the shuffle. Maybe we can take advantage of that. There are a lot of transfers that have already locked up a place to play.

It will be an interesting situation. A number of players around the country have already indicated that they are coming back for their "extra" year. This has to have a negative effect on high school seniors who are looking for spots. Maybe we can get someone we normally couldn't have gotten. Of course, with the free transfer rule coming soon, it will always be a question how long we can keep a real good high school player once we sign him.

I'm also happy to see we haven't had a mass exodus of players. Hopefully, the players that are left are happy here and will be "recruiters" when players visit. Maybe CJ can help with the LR kids in the portal. I would also think players from eastern Europe might feel very comfortable coming here considering the foreign players on our roster. They might be our best recruiters. Lastly, it's hard to believe that, even if they have never heard of Darrell, players wouldn't be impressed with the NBA championship ring on his finger.

Ethan Henderson heading to Tx A & M. I'm getting less optimistic about getting LR kids.
