He is the exact same player he was last year.
I mean almost exactly.
Look at his stats and his per 40 mins.
Almost identical.

Most of us actually said we thought he would take a step forward this year. He really didn't though.

The draft announcement was predictable.
Announcing and putting on the team cap are 2 different things.

I looked at his stats. Did you?

Sure - hence the comment.

stat - Mem - OSU
Minutes - 18.6 - 20.0
FG made - 2.9 - 2.8
FG % - 55.2 - 55.9
FT % - 32.4 - 56.2 (the only true area of improvement - still bad)
Reb - 6.3 - 6.5
Block - 1.6 - 1.9
Pts - 6.6 - 7.2

He's the same guy. He just improved his FTs from historically worst, to bad.
Like I said, most of us thought he would improve much more.

Had 17 yesterday beating Texas hitting 3-4 from 3 and 6-8 from the line while playing 36 minutes.

Baugh did. But they are talking about cisse

While your stats do show he hasn't improved as many expected...Including myself.

He did play much tougher opponents.

We would have been much better off this year with Baugh starting at PG instead of Lomax.

Boogie too

Who cares at this point? We are a full season removed from either being on the roster. We are playing as well right now as we have under 4 years of Penny.

Thank you. I was about to hyperventilate thinking Cisse hit three 3's.

To be fair, we have gone back and forth between Cisse and Baugh in the thread.

And to be clear, I don't think we've missed either one, unless they were willing to take Dandridge and Earl minutes.

It never fails though, look at FT%. Baugh was .558 and .682 here, and now .833 at TCU. Cisse was .324 here and is .532 at OK St. Sure, .532 is nothing to cheer, but the percentage improvement is huge. But we make 'em when they count though, right?

Offset by a lower fg%. On paper, he appears to be playing at the exact same level he was here..

Assists to TO ratio is really good. We will need to revisit once conference season starts.

Also seems Boogie has come down to earth as the season has progressed as well.

all four of our big transfers out have not improved dramatically from their last year here. Numbers are similar, generally marginally higher as would be expected from being a year older. Some of our learned posters had thought and expressed loudly how DJ or Boogie would be a star if Penny just knew how to coach, or that Cisse should get more minutes, or Baugh should be the PG.

Fast forward a year and is seems their new coaches must not see it either. none of them are stars, none of them are dramatically better.

i wish them all well, hope they have great careers, get their degrees, and have a long, full life. But none of them appear to be pros.... i guess Penny and now 4 new coaching staffs don't know what they are doing.

So Penny missed on 4 players?

A lot of coaches did. AAU doesn’t show coaches a lot as it relates to playing team ball.

Missed? They are pretty playing at the level that should have been expected given their rankings, the exception possibly Cisse. But Cisse was ranked a 5* based on potential.

Boogie too

I've watched PAC play a lot because of time zone factor.
Boogie doesn't look like a pt guard. He looks like a shooting guard. He averaged 30.3 mins per game with 2.5 assists , 12.8 pts and .8 steals.

How can Boogie play with an outstanding Big like Mobley and get such few assists. lol A rhetorical question.

Boogie's last five games:
UCLA : 37 mins , 1 assist, 0 steals, 27 pts. USC lost by 10 points

Washington: 29 mins, 1 assist, 0 steals, 17 points. USC won by 4

UCLA: 32 mins, 3 assists, 0 steals13 pts. USC lost by 7

Zona: 23 mins, 1 assist, 9 pts. 0 steals USC lost by 20

Oregon: 24 mins, 1 assist, 1 steal, 8 pts. USC won by 1

And last but not least, Boogie has never flown into the Trojan band.

Moussa should be working on his FT’s & footwork around the bucket. Something inherently wrong with a 7ft’er with no ball handling skills focused on shooting 3’s.

Yeah who the hell is working with him? Let’s say he becomes an above average 3 point shooter - the way nba teams would use him he’d see that shot so little it wouldn’t matter.

You can't be slow under the basket though. A player has to go up and release very quick or it is block city. It is something that Dandridge has yet to learn. The needs to get on him big time for that. It really can improve a players game.
