Covid has been a real inconvenience for us but how would you like to be UMASS...having to withdrew from the Frozen Four?

RE: UMASS
UMass isn’t forfeiting the Frozen Four. They’re just going to play without 4 players.
Unfortunately, two of the players are their starting goalie and top goal scorer.

Oops. My source got it wrong. Losing those players is tough...but I would like us to be the first Hockey East team to ein a national championship.

???
Not sure what meant by your last sentence.
There have been plenty of national champions out of Hockey East. It just hasn’t been one by NU.

Is it the women who haven't had a Hockey East national champion? (Hockey is a distant third favorite sport. I shouldn't be allowed to post comments on hockey.)

Just women's.
I think I am pulling for UMass in this one, not that they deserve it, but Hockey East does seem to be trailing the NCHC lately and it probably helps our conference as a whole to get a win.

That is right (just women's). In fact, I think I saw there have only been 4 champions in the 2000's for the ladies.... Minnesota, Minnesota Duluth, Wisconsin and Clarkson

RE: UMASS
Sorry I can’t root for UMass.
If their fans weren’t so damn obnoxious I would. But they act like they have the lineage of BC or BU or something...

RE: UMASS
UMass ended up winning it all. Pretty impressive, they went from laughing stock of hockey east to national championship in 5 years.
