Baseball schedule update - 4/9-11 weekend
The weekend series @ JMU this week has been canceled.

Currently, the team is working to schedule a home series this weekend. I am not sure if that will be another CAA opponent or if it will be a non-conference series at this time, but I have to assume it will be the latter, as all other CAA teams are scheduled to play this weekend with no postponements/cancellations announced.

In addition, the Coastal Carolina road game that would have happened tonight (postponed) has been moved to Wednesday, Apr 14. Meaning the Seahawks will now host Coastal on back to back nights, Apr 13-14. So that one worked out well.

They did the same thing for the Elon series with Covid not noted. WTF is going on up there and why is the commish allowing it to happen?

Baseball has a North/South Division this year. I was told that that move would fix all of the league's problems?

JMU is clearly taking advantage of the cancelation allowance and basically saying F it to the rest of the league. Commish needs to step the hell up and do his damn job

Yea, bad take. We want to play, but COVID got in the way.

We've been screwed in all major sports by COVID. Our Spring football has seen 50% of our games canceled, no leadership from the CAA, and opponents refusing to make up the games. This league is such crap.

Looks like we’re only playing one game against Coastal next week (Apr 14), not 2. This makes sense given that we also play Coastal on Apr 27 (road) & 28 (home).

Also, it appears the OK St games will be on the Big 12 Network and ESPN+. Better than being on FloSports, that’s for sure.

Every cancelation i've seen outside of JMU has notated Covid protocols. I have not seen that in either baseball case. Perhaps, you have some links to articles stating that?
I do agree 1000% about the CAA

Seems it WAS hard to find in the case of Elon, thus my skepticism.

In the case of Elon, JMU was coming off a COVID pause and Elon refused to travel to JMU because we missed their home series.

If that is truly what happened, it just highlights the lack of conference leadership even further.
