The president chasing the refs off the field was epic. I loved the passion, frankly.

All of us who were at that game - myself included - are old enough to have forgotten many of these details by now. I’m glad so many of us were there to recall our own bits and pieces because the picture we have painted here is pretty darn accurate based on what I remember.

Dr. Harvey (their recently-retired President) was in the public eye over the decades of his tenure, but I’ll never be able to erase the memory of him on the field, berating the refs and pointing at the replay. Just think…if that Jumbotron had been delayed just by ONE WEEK…

EDIT: “Big Screen Butt Bowl” is the best description of that game I’ve ever heard. Well done!

There are 2 things that I will never forget about our games with Hampton. The first is the "Butt" experience with DR Harvey chasing the MEAC officials off of the field. The second is that wide receiver for Hampton who took a kickoff straight down our sideline during the playoff game and just ran by EVERY defender. Fastest guy that I ever laid my eyeballs on.

Jerome Mathis. W&M helped make him a 4th round draft pick. He had the record for fastest 40 time at the combine for a couple years.

Is there a reason there aren't the usual highlights/game recap of this game? There's a 1 minute clip that has a few clips from the day, but nothing else. I didn't get to watch much of the game so was hoping to catch the recap.

That’s probably the product of hoops starting and being understaffed.

It's a product of no QB Club meeting because of basketball. The QB Club pays to have the recap produced for showing at Monday meeting and it is then made available to the public.

Oh wow I had no idea. I absolutely love those recaps. A big thank you to the QB club for doing that.
