I hate it as well, but we better learn to take advantage of it. We aren't going to be in the running for any of the "top transfers" listed on ESPN or the like. But, we don't need to be. Ben Coupet was one of our best players and he couldn't see the court at a UNLV program that is nothing like the UNLV of old. There are probably a few hundred players in the portal, right now, that could help us. But, the job is finding them and convincing them to come to LR. I think our best bets are Little Rock and/or Arkansas kids who have left the State. We also have to hope our coaches have coaching friends, at bigger programs, who might send a bench warmer our way. I'll take another Ben Coupet any day.
