RE: It's just staggering...
Exactly. Just looking at Duke and ky to see that teams loaded with one and done players absolutely flopped.
We still had one of the youngest teams in either tournament and won. Had DeAndre been eligible all season, we are in the tournament.

Exactly. If you are looking for flash, sizzle, and smoke, Penny is your guy.
This year's team was the best we've seen in 7 years. That is undeniable.
KenPom tells us this was our best in 9 years. Better than all Tubby teams. Better than all but 1 Pastner team. Better than 4 of Cal's first 5 teams, before he went on the historical run.
But you keep doing you.
Yeah. I get it. There is no question that by the end of the year, we were playing better. And, with all of the talent on the floor, we should have been.
And maybe I'm wrong. I'm willing to admit that. But at some point, with all of the big time recruits, the dude has to get us in the Dance. Period.
Covid played a big role in us not getting in the last 2 years. I mean if we are being honest we have to be honest and admit that.
For those actually watching, young teams with big name recruits have struggled bad the last 2 seasons during the pandemic. Teams stacked with JRs and SR's have thrived.
In fact Penny has done much better than most with similar circumstances and rosters. You look around the country at big name coaches with young teams and many of them never got it going like Penny down the stretch. Many of those big name coaches struggled from beginning to end.
Covid...Didn't affect the teams performance last year...Just stopped the season...
You are absolutely right about this season...Less practice time for young teams is killer.

Fake news.
It was not a preseason tourney.
We started the same day as everyone else.
