My ??? was where they going to move it to?

Seems something like 40+ States have very similar processes for voting, and what they've done in Ga. is simply to reinstate a lot of the election integrity regs they had in place prior to the 'Rona.

Will MLB let me pick up my will call tickets without a photo ID? Can I drive myself to the MLB games without ID? Can I drink their schitty room temperature 8$ cans of beer without a photo ID? Will Delta let me board their planes without photo ID? Buy a $8 plastic bottle of cheap vodka without photo ID?

Stupid corporate virtue signaling, nothing more.

Bwahahahaha. Just the other day before this sh!t show started, I was wondering if and when the MLB all star game would ever return to Denver.

MLB has said it is now coming to Denver instead of Atlanta. Stupid dolts that made that decision don't realize that Colorado voting laws are tougher than Georgia's. Virtue signaling without any facts. Well done, you stupid knobs.

I'm done with MLB again this year. You could GIVE me a FREE ticket to the all star game and I wouldn't go. I hope nobody shows up.

It's as if MLB execs didn't learn a thing from the NBA disaster and the NFL getting involved in politics. They deserve what they get.

RE: MLB Blew a Raspberry
Quote:A national small business advocacy organization sent a letter to Major League Baseball (MLB) Wednesday railing against the corporate sports group’s decision to strip its summer All-Star Game from Atlanta, Ga., and move it to Colorado.

“The Job Creators Network (JCN) and the more than one million small businesses in the Peach State are outraged over the recent decision to relocate the Major League Baseball All Star game to Denver,” JCN President Alfredo Ortiz wrote to MLB Commissioner Rob Manfred. “For small businesses that have disproportionately suffered through government-imposed pandemic lockdowns over the past year, the financial loss is a punch to the gut and will have an outsized impact on minority-owned businesses.”

Oritz pointed out the racial disparities between Atlanta and Denver, where the Georgia city is 51 percent black and the Colorado capital is only 10 percent, according to the U.S. Census Bureau. The Atlanta All-Star Game is worth upwards of $100 million in revenue, striking a blow to central Georgia after Republican lawmakers passed a new elections law which expands early voting. The MLB however, cited new restrictions in the bill, including voter ID requirements, hysterically covered as racist in the corporate press as reason to move the lucrative event across the country.

“Giving your organization the benefit of the doubt, the MLB’s choice to relocate the All Star game is based on a misunderstanding of the facts,” Oritz wrote. “Despite urban legend and your previous statement, the Georgia law makes it easy to vote and hard to cheat. It shouldn’t be controversial.”

Colorado meanwhile, already mandates voter ID and includes fewer days of early in-person voting than Georgia.

“The selective outrage from your office and others is backwards,” Oritz continued. “Small businesses in Georgia are hurting and you pulled a multi-million dollar rug out from underneath them.”

The Georgia boycott was promoted by President Joe Biden, who characterized the new voting law as a modern-day relic of the Jim Crow era.

Great post Crimson. It's about time people started pushing back on these WOKE (ha, ha, that's a laugh) corporations that are because of ignorance try to appease a very small segment of the population, i.e., blm and their ilk, the Progressive Filth. I'll try to do my part in boycotting these dipSchiffs. Maybe it won't accomplish much but at least I won't be part of it either. It's hard not to buy Coke products but I'll try to find others. I love Pepsi but my wife loves Sprite and I think it's a coke product, I gotta find her an alternative.

RE: MLB Blew a Raspberry
Quote:MSNBC “Morning Joe” host Joe Scarborough on Wednesday reacted to President Joe Biden changing his tune on moving the Masters golf tournament out of Georgia a week after calling for Major League Baseball to move its All-Star Game out of the state. The call, which was ultimately heeded by MLB, came in response to Georgia’s new election law.

After MSNBC’s Willie Geist pointed out that it is “impossible to square” Biden’s argument, Scarborough suggested the league and others, including the president, “jumped the gun” before actually reading Georgia’s law and comparing it to other states’ election laws.

“To listen to the president speaking right there, it’s impossible to square his argument,” Geist said. “One week ago, he was calling for the All-Star game to be moved out of Atlanta, and then shortly thereafter, it was. Now, he’s expressing concern about the idea of moving the Masters because of the impact it might have on working people in and around the Masters.”

“[D]oesn’t it seem that a lot of people jumped the gun, a lot of people moved this All-Star Game, talked about supporting moving of the All-Star game — and, yes, I do believe Major League Baseball moved the All-Star Game before actually either reading the bill or understanding how the bill lined up with New Jersey laws, with New York laws, with laws all across the nation,” Scarborough wondered. “And again, please, please, don’t shoot me. … But I understand the bad faith that was shown in Georgia. I understand the bad faith that was shown by Georgia legislators, but this is going to be hard to unwind. And it’s going to be hard to unwind because, again, there is that bad faith there, but when you line this bill up with what the laws were before the pandemic and what the laws are in states like New York, it is not Jim Crow 2.0.”

He continued, “The question is, did that warrant such a massive move? Or should they have listened to Stacey Abrams, should they listen to John Ossoff, should they listen to Raphael Warnock, who said keep the All-Star Game here, please, but let’s use this as a learning experience and let’s use this to draw America’s attention to the bad parts of this voting law.”

Quote:Georgia House Democrats, Rep. Lucy McBath and Carolyn Bourdeaux have both stayed silent on Major League Baseball’s (MLB) decision to relocate the All-Star Game out of Georgia.

The Democrats, who both hold Congressional seats in neighboring Georgia districts, have stayed quiet regarding the MLB’s All-Star Game moved out of the Peach State. MLB confirmed Monday night the game is relocated to Denver, Colorado.

The National Republican Congressional Committee (NRCC) released a statement Wednesday regarding the Democrat’s decision to stay quiet on a major topic from their own state, asking if they support the decision, which will lose millions of dollars in revenue.

Breitbart News independently reached out to McBath and Bourdeaux’s offices to ask them if they support the MLB’s decision to move the All-Star game from Georgia, which would be hurting local workers and costing the state $100 million. Neither office responded to the inquiry by the time this article was published.

The NRCC in February released a list of 47 “offensive opportunities,” which included 29 Battleground Democrats. The Battleground Districts are where “President Biden lost the district or where the 2020 presidential or congressional margin was within 5 percent.” Both of the Georgia Democrats have been on the list since the beginning.

Georgia Gov. Brian Kemp ® was on Fox Business Network’s show Kudlow Tuesday night to talk about the Democrat’s spread of disinformation about the voter integrity bill, which in turn caused the MLB to move the All-Star game.

Kemp said on Kudlow:

[T]his action is screwing the little guy. The people that would have profited from the baseball game being here that got pubs and restaurants around the stadium, the Uber drivers, and that whole economy where that dollar turns, and now, they’re taking something away from a metro Atlanta population in metro area population that’s 51% African American and taking it to Denver where it’s 9 or 10%. I mean, none of this makes any sense is why people are so mad.

Instead of taking a stand on the business being lost from moving the game, McBath took to Twitter to compare the voter integrity laws to Jim Crow laws.

Bourdeaux also, instead of taking a stand on the business being lost from moving the game, took a similar stand to help spread similar opinions about the voter integrity laws, saying it would be a lot more challenging to win a seat now because of the bill being passed into law by the Georgia legislature.

Bourdeaux also said it was “good” Delta made a statement about the laws in Georgia.

RE: MLB Blew a Raspberry
Quote:An “informed source” admitted to CNN that the MLB’s decision to move the All-Star Game out of Atlanta, Georgia, came in part because media outlets would have hounded players about their thoughts on boycotting the state following a sustained media campaign of misinformation about Georgia’s new voting law.

In a Twitter thread, CNN anchor Jake Tapper relayed what the anonymous source told CNN regarding the political considerations behind the MLB’s decision. This source told CNN there would have been consequences if they hadn’t pulled the All-Star Game, so they acted proactively. Among those consequences was the fact that a biased media would have repeatedly asked professional baseball players about their own stance on the law and urged them to boycott the state, though the source didn’t say that explicitly.

“MLB officials made the decision because if they didn’t then the decision would be left to individual players, individual All-Stars, some of whom no doubt would have individually boycotted the game themselves,” Tapper tweeted. “In short: There was no way to avoid this becoming political.”

Tapper followed up that tweet with one about how the media would have treated All-Star players for the next several months.

“If MLB hadn’t acted, individual players would certainly have been asked from now until July whether they were boycotting or not. It would have — arguably — become a bigger issue,” Tapper wrote.

This is the giveaway. The MLB appears to have feared an activist media – not fans or residents of Atlanta.

The source explained to CNN that the MLB made its decision in part to protect players from this coordinated media attack.

“So @MLB did what they thought was taking one for the team, as it were, trying to protect the individual players and to operate as a cohesive whole, the source tells CNN,” Tapper wrote. “Whatever you think of the decision, that was part of the calculation.”

As evidence to support these claims, Tapper linked to a CNN interview with former MLB All-Star outfielder Curtis Granderson, the current president of the Player’s Alliance, as well as a statement from the Player’s Alliance supporting the decision after it was made. The Player’s Alliance made no suggestion of an issue prior to MLB’s decision.

Further, as GOP consultant Dan Foster pointed out, the activist focus on the MLB was because of its prominence, when there are many other companies that will continue to operate in Georgia without being criticized.

“Part of what makes this so alienating is the randomness of it. Think of how many corps—including CNN!—will go on doing business in Georgia unmolested because they weren’t the first two or three that popped into the activists’ heads. They get to go about their lives, this time!” Foster wrote. “Who’s going to ask every CNN employee, every day, how their company can in good conscience keep their headquarters in Atlanta? Nobody is, because most of us are not sociopaths.”

Beyond the decision, the media’s portrayal of the new Georgia voting law has been completely false. As The Daily Wire has previously reported numerous claims from the media about the law were false, including the refuted claims from President Joe Biden and others that it banned people waiting in line to vote from receiving water.

The Washington Post’s fact-checker spoke to experts who said “the net effect was to expand the opportunities to vote for most Georgians, not limit them.” In that same fact-check, the Post noted that claims about the Georgia law restricting voting hours were also false.

Quote:A recent Daily Wire poll released Wednesday found an overwhelming majority agreed Major League Baseball’s (MLB) relocation from Atlanta was driven by “politics and publicity.”

The recent poll found 67 percent agreed Major League Baseball’s (MLB) relocation from Atlanta was driven by “politics and publicity.” In comparison, 33 percent said it was driven by a “genuine concern for voters in Georgia.”
