During both of those stretches there were narrow wins that could have been losses and the three losses all could have been won
Opposition was a little tougher the late stretch primarily based on playing Houston twice
There was nothing extra magic the last 9 games that wasn’t already being done
Would have been nice to have had a complete team those last games as it would have been more likely to have beaten Houston too
Alo was the best PG we had last year. Boogie played very well at times but he never got the other guys involved in the offense.
Yup...
Lomax isn't great...But he was the best we had running the point. ALo was less critical once Deandre got acclimated because Deandre could intiate the offense.
Boogie is a scorer and when his shot is not falling he is not really contributing offensively.
We have some on here who have been on a crusade against Lomax since he arrived.
It’s weird.

If you’re saying Boogie was the answer then I don’t know what to tell you. Boogie was not a point guard.
If you don't think Boogie was a PG after our best stretch of wins against the best competition we had all year with him playing PG, I don't know what to say.
Who was playing Lead (Pg) when Memphis State won the NIT tourney over Mississippi State that you are ordering all these shirts and cheering for As well as instead of just getting past mediocre teams, Memphis State became DOMINANT towards the end....clearly showing that this team was crescendoing (Had NOT hit it's peak)
DJ and Deandre played as much point down the stretch as Boogie did.
All analysts and most impartial fans will tell you - Boogie is not a PG.
To say that the opposition the last 9 games weren't exponentially tougher is laughable at best, playing teams in a tournament (loser go home) as well as a FF team twice (on the road) is an extremely daunting task....I can't understand, for the life of me how some can diminish the magnitude of what we just witnessed just to prove their point..... (But celebrate emphatically)
Give Penny credence for finding a way to get Boogie rest, as there's practically noone to sub for him (Jayden)
Now, I have addressed this before, going to attempt to clarify even more, when Boogie is not hitting shots, he's not effective as he doesn't get assists argument....
Because Boogie is an offensive threat, defenses CAN'T cheat off of him.....Did anyone realize how irate Kalvin Sampson got when Boogie hit shots, I remember one of those games, he actually called a time out...
What this does is spread a defense thin,If your point person can shoot or score......What that also does, is create space as well as lanes for all of our other "playmakers" .....As a matter of fact....Our season dramatically improved when EffortLess began hitting shots....This is when the crescendo began......Before Boogie taking the rains, Lester's shot was rushed/hurried he was not in rhythm and was throwing up wild shots as the shot clock ran down.....
This is due the the inability for Lomax to keep defenses from sagging off of him and put tremendous pressure on our shooters as well as take away driving lanes.......Hence, even when Boogie is not scoring, there is still pressure on the defense to guard him (because he can go on a streak)....The prime example; Winning these tough games even when normal fans feel that Boogie isn't effective.....The others players have lanes as well as open looks.(opportunities to score) merely from his presence
