Lost to Nebraska by 13 pins. Play Youngstown State in an elimination game now. Winner advances to Championship Saturday.

AState defeats Youngstown State 2-1 Advances to play #1 McKendree tomorrow morning for the right to play Nebraska for the National championship.

Matches are a best of 3 series with game 1 having 5 bowlers bowling 10 frames for each team and the highest pin count winning. Game 2 is a Baker Total Pin, with 5 10 frame games with each bowler bowling 2 frames. The highest total pins after all 5 games wins. Game 3 is a best of 7 Baker series with up to 7 10 frame games being played. Each bowler bowls 2 frames. First to win 4 games wins.

The Mckendree match will follow that format tomorrow, however the National Championship match would skip the first 2 games and send the two teams into a straight best of 7 Baker series to determine the champion, likely for TV purposes.

Glad you understand all that. Do you have to be a math major to be a bowler? I guess it's all done by computer now days anyway.

I would love to see stAte win the title ... and I would love to see a D2 mate win the title. Can I get a t-shirt with the Bearcat and the Red Wolf logo.

Hopefully D2 will be able to split off and have its own championship soon (like D3 did with men's volleyball in 2011), we are close to having enough teams to do so.

I have to say that I find it discouraging for a team to have to bowl 2 matches in the same day. After clawing their way back in the girls had to have tired arms. I'm not taking anything away from Nebraska. I'm thinking we would have seen a more even match with a days rest.
