funny. I think just the opposite.

A warning light goes off when a man puts his partner/wife down in front of me, whether she's there or not.

I see your point although it generalizes that my comment intended to say it was ok for me to put my wife down. That was not my intention and if you knew my wife you would know she would not have put up with me for 47 years if that was my practice.

Now if I had actually insulted my wife your comment would have been both true and accurate. Not all jokes have evil intent. The joke I addressed was a generalized insult.

I took it as a somewhat funny insult directed at the men here...not the women. lol.

Insults are in the ears of the beholder. lol

Directed at men by insulting the wives? Got it.

I have zero tolerance for that.

You guys are wound too tight. You Women too. My wife is the love of my life. She would laugh at the question of whether or not I would want to sit 3 seats away.

I was mostly joking but it did happen during the 2 games I went to last season.

No comparison. Last year was the apex of the pandemic and no vaccine. And I was mostly joking also.

Wow! A thread about the first open chance for many fans to see Tiger Football and we spend the majority of the thread arguing with each other about whether or not it's ok to joke about wives... and anything else is political.

I, for one, am looking forward to seeing our QB battle, seeing if the transfers are as good as advertised and finally seeing our defense fully installed. While I have never put much faith in a Spring Game telling much about the team, there have been seasons when you left the game knowing that the next year would be special. Riley's second season, the offense scored two TDs in the first 3 minutes of the scrimmage. The ball didn't hit the ground during their first five drives and we only ran the ball twice.

But, naw, dude, I here ya. I am ready to be excited about football again. It's almost like last year's season didn't exist. I am ready. But seriously, I am not going to play some stupid covid game to do it. We are outside. Leave us alone. Or I'm not going.

RE: Spring game details
The QB position is wide open, from what I've heard from Coach Silverfield.

So, this game would help make that decision.

Of course, if I were the QB, I'd be practicing a lot on my own time with the receivers during the summer to get the timing down.

It's nice to have more than one option at QB. Hopefully, we'll have a QB that will throw deep more than the last few QBs and open up the field.

Hope so too, especially with no game breakers at RB.

Sadly however, back up QB's haven't seen much action for the Tigers in the last few years.

I frankly don't care what the hell you do outside, but for some of us Covid has never been a game. 3 deaths here. And for me, last season did NOT exist, because being in a crowd, even outside, was not safe. Carry on.

I still managed to get my beer down my gullet.

A: Four Tennessee fans drinking beer in Neeylan!

Sorry for your losses. I'm not trying to dismiss the seriousness of the disease. But I will not follow some stupid control game by the powers that be that have been proven by science to not do a damn bit of good. Wearing masks outdoors is the most virtue-signaling, useless activity I can think of, short of wearing one in your car... alone. Indoors in close quarters? You bet. Outside? Give me a break.
