RE: Commissioners Cup standings
GCU will win the WAC Commissioner's Cub for the 4th time in 5 years as they now have an overwhelming lead over 2nd place SFA with only baseball left to be scored.
GCU = 72.0
SFA = 54.5
SHSU = 44.0
NMSU = 43.0
ACU = 42.0
UVU = 36.0
CBU = 31.5
Seattle = 29.0
Lamar = 27.5
UTRGV = 21.5
Tarleton = 20.5
DSU = 16.5
CSU = 16.5
It looks like SFA has clinched 2nd in their first season in the WAC. Third place is close, but Sam Houston should pull it out since their baseball record is considerably better than NMSU and ACU. ACU will likely even pass NMSU dropping the Aggies to 5th place.

RE: Commissioners Cup standings
The WAC recently updated the Commissioner's Cup standings after the completion of swimming (M/W) and indoor track (M/W).
Current Standings:
(1) GCU - 29 points
(2) UVU - 27
(3) SFA - 26.5
(4) CBU - 21.5
(5) NMSU - 17.5
(6) SUU - 17.5
(7) Seattle - 15.5
(8) Utah Tech - 12
(9) UTRGV - 11.5
(10) ACU - 9.5
(11) SHSU - 9
(12) UTA - 8.5
(13) Tarleton - 6.5
After a disappointing fall season, GCU is back on top. With GCU's strength in the Spring sports (softball, baseball, M/W outdoor track) GCU should claim their third Commissioner's Cup in a row and 5th in 6 years.

RE: Commissioners Cup standings
In the Sun Belt, their Cup was awarded based on finish in its entirety, IE. a first place finish was worth 12 points while a last place finish was worth 1. I don't like the WAC scoring system. Eight schools get one point if every member has it. That doesn't really space out the winners and losers very well.

Yeah, I agree with you. I think the current scoring system is just a relic of when the WAC was a smaller conference. Hopefully, they will make some revisions in the future.
