I think he is going to be forced to sit one year. He may have to compete against ***** Amon-Ra St. Brown, **** Drake London, **** Kyle Ford, **** Gary Bryant Jr., and a host of other three-star players, not to mention being over recruited. Good luck with that.

I just don't understand why a guy, who is almost guaranteed to be a pivotal on a team that has proven they can get you to the NFL would make this type change. Most of USC WR's are tall guys 6-2", 6-4", etc. Bru McCoy 5* was their #4 option this past year.

He may be moving to a P-5 school, but the PAC-12 has been just as irrelevant as the AAC when it comes to the college football playoff, with only one representative in the CFP since 2015. I think the luster of USC football is gone. Even their last title, won way back in 2004, was stripped by the NCAA infractions committee. Washington is pinning all his hopes on playing, assuming he can break into the starting lineup, with a quarterback, Kedon Slovis, who could be contending for the Heisman next year. And then there is the lack of TV coverage (exposure) because of the late night west coast games.

I hope it works out for him because stepped up when the Tigers needed him the most and I like him a lot. Maybe that conference will turn things around if they find the right commissioner, but Taj will have likely completed his eligibility by then.

A real head scratcher but.....time will tell. My brother in law is a USC grad and is really up on their football program. So much so that he has been to almost every USC -Norte Dame game over the last 25 years. He travels to the games with his son from his home here in Dallas. I need to talk to him.

Found this story on a USC Football website. In 2021 USC recruited three 3 Star Wide Receivers and one 4 Star transfer.

Yep. You don't win battles without casualties. I hope Tahj tears it up out there.

This is our future. P5 recruits the players they want. We get the left overs. Any of our guys who turn out to be good, they grab from us. And any of their guys who don't work out, for whatever reason, we get to fight over the scraps. Sucks.

Yeah. I wish him well, but will be very surprised if he is an impact player at USC.

Would love to hear Silverfield's take on what was said, did he just not tell him he was the best he had ever seen and he was totally ready for the NFL right now? Or did he challenge him to get better and someday have a chance at the league, we have onkly heard the kid and his Mom

I would bet he knew his options for transfer before he had his meeting with Silverfield.

But the family obviously had some issues with Silverfield based on the interviews posted...They went out of their way to say all the other coaches were great.
