Hoping he is a starting guard for one of those teams. I think Georgetown is in the Big East and I would get a chance to see him play when he comes to Cincy and play Xavier.

That's a pretty good selection of players' coaches. 3 coaches with strong NBA connections and Larranaga. Two with MAC connections.
Bobby Hurley AZ, Mussleman Ark, Ewing GTown, Larranage Miami. Allknown to go to the mat for their players.
Not a bad place MJ has found himself in.

One-and-done’s started the downward trend, now we have the transfer portal. He thinks he’s too good for Toledo now after winning MAC POY, the grass ain’t always greener. Huge blow for us and the entire MAC. All the league’s top players are transferring it seems like, it’s getting out of hand.
Yeah that’s a bull$hit take. Dude doesn’t owe Toledo anything. Perhaps he wants a better opportunity to make the Big Dance. I don’t blame him. He certainly wasn’t going to get one at Toledo.
Agreed. These universities don’t own these students. We should wish them well as they pursue their goals even if it finds them transferring for demonstrably better opportunities.

I would cheer for him to be the first PAC 12 POY to play for a winless team.

I read where Purdue and Minnesota are two possible landing spots. At least we could watch him play vs. OSU, UM and MSU on the BIG 10 Network if not in person. Good luck to him no matter he decides.
Is it Football Season yet?
GO ROCKETS!!

RE: Marreon Jackson: Transferring
i just saw that Miami (FL) 5-7 Point Guard, Chris Lykes announced today that he is transferring to Arkansas which most likely means MJ will not be choosing the Razorbacks on Friday. Lykes, a three year starter missed most of this past season with an injury but had a very productive career with The Hurricanes. What's ironic is that Lykes said one of the reasons he chose the Razorbacks is because former EMU Point Guard Earl Boykin is on the coaching staff and they are similar in size.

Wow, should be interesting to see how MJ adjusts to a completely different coaching style and demeanor going from "even keel" TK to "volatile" Bobby Hurley! It will definitely be an upgrade in competition going from the MAC to the PAC so hopefully it works out well for MJ per his future NBA aspirations.

Wish him well, of course—was plenty fun to watch in a Rocket uniform! If his goal was to get to the “Big Dance”, though, I don’t think he did himself any favors. Arizona State had a tough road to get there.

A tough road indeed, but Marreon is their third transfer this year, they also had two transfer in from BC, and Robert Morris, respectively, who knows how they'll end up.

I believe his goal, is to better prepare/challenge himself for a pro career.
