ESPN says it is looking likely. That is very interesting. I cannot imagine that Marquette's pockets are anywhere nearly as deep as Texas'. So it must be other factors. Maybe the seat was getting hot. Or maybe, like many coaches, Shaka wanted to to coach at a school where basketball matters.

Shaka was smart to get out a head of the posse. No doubt his seat was getting hot with another quick exit from the NCAA tournament.

That is one less job that would be a "natural" for Porter. Not sure he wants to move to Texas or Oklahoma, but I would think either would love to have him.

Would be ironic if Texas considered Joe Golding, but he is certainly not a "flash in the pan". He has put his time in as a coach.

His name could well be in the hat, but I would think he would be a longshot. Texas can buy whomever they want.
