And it doesn't have to be the affected player. Players talk to each other; if coach is all in for the guys they're talking about it and have his back.

I already though we were pretty fortunate but after listening to the BCJ pod with the comments from the AAU coach and related to the strength coach there's no doubt we're in the best case scenario. Whether we end up paying $2 or $4 million Brannen was a sunk cost.

Yep. Brannen was going to cost us one way or another. Best to rip off the bandage now than allow the program to further slide, potentially costing us more money than the buyout in the long run.

I’m starting to wonder if Brannen was the guy with the psychological problems.

Nope. He wasn't framed on some conspiracy. If he has a great case against the university then let his legal team prove it and win the day.

Isn’t it a little early for 2:30 am coaching man crush drunk posts?

Brannen is a clown. A tool. A jerk. And thankfully someone else’s problem. Good riddance to bad garbage.

Pick a different hill to die on, brother. He’s not worth it.

Yikes...yeah, he sounds like a neurotic mess in that report (if it is true). Reading through that, I feel like there may be more than a few reasons why Rehfeldt left after Brannen was hired.

The longer this goes on the more unhireable Brannen becomes. If I'm his agent I'm telling him to take UCs best offer today.

Yeah...if your coach doesn't trust your training staff at all and chooses to do his own conditioning instead of trusting staff to do it who are trained to do so, you're putting yourself in a world of risk as an athletics department.

As I said in prior posts in this thread.. if UC offered seven digits (as reported) he should have taken it. Even more stuff is going to leak out now. Even if by chance he files suits and wins his case he will be damaged goods.

It's probably too late for Brannen, maybe it was too late before he was fired. FOIA is going to bring this stuff into the light regardless. If half this stuff is true, I'd be surprised if Brannen is ever a head coach again. Heck, at this point you have to wonder if he will even be an assistant coach, if his best friends Chris Mack or Pat Kelsey don't give him a job, hard to imagine anyone would.

Maybe Brannen is holding out because he knows his career is over and he wants to do his best to take Cunningham down with him. Based on that document I could see Brannen still blaming management for everything and having a special hatred for Cunningham. Ego and Narcissism can really distort one persons perception of reality.

And I realize both sides are battling for public perception but even the Brannen side's explanation yesterday of paying for a player's psychologist came after Brannen in his expert medical opinion determined the university approved psychologist wasn't qualified. They're getting dunked on by UC at this point.

JB was apparently a raving lunatic.

He should have thankfully accepted the original settlement offer and slunk off.
