I remember the spontaneous gatherings in downtown Cincy after that victory. One of the breweries drove through Fountain Square throwing six-packs into the crowd.

Both times when we beat an ohio state boarding school, they were ranked #1 in the nation. Bobby Knight was a reserve guard (i.e., not much playing time) for said boarding school.

Fun times!

BTW, I have a game programs from the 61, 62, and 63 championship games sealed in plastic. They look like the day they came off the presses.

Remember "Avenue of Champions"?

Hell even I wasn’t a zygote for years yet and I’m old as dirt...most days.

And we hung Gov. Mike Disalle in effigy after he named OSU “Team of the Century” before the game.

Someone needs to write a book about these teams and times. Some great stories. Alas, some of the players/coaches are no longer with us, however a few left.
