At least it was only michigan and notre dame lol, but this is a mess.

Strange UM cleared all the tests on Wed....

So...Notre Dame got bit, lost to PSU in BIG Tournament, PSU later played WI, who later played MN after UM (who was bit) played them.

So will WI and MN be the next ones to get bit?

WI on their way out anyways, down 4-1 to Bemidji to start the 3rd. Bemidji looks dangerous and I think they will beat either Umass or LSSU to go to the frozen four.

Lake State beat Bemidji last week 5-1 and took 4 points out of 6 from them several weeks ago in Bemidji so that would be a great game if the Lakers get by UMass.

I think we're seeing that the Big Ten was a teensy bit overrated. I wouldn't be shocked if Omaha takes out Minnesota in rd 1 as well.

I’m pretty sure WMU would be handling themselves better than LSSU at this point.

I understand the argument that the NCHC is bad for WMU but I think it’s short sighted.

WMU as a non tourney team is obviously better than many of the teams I’m watching. We are in a solid conference that in a normal year would have added at least two more teams. This is a down year for our program and it’s refreshing to know visually we would have been competitive in this NCAA. That right there is a function of our conference setting the bar high!

Nodak is murdering AIC 4-0 in the first.

AIC is brutal, it’s like watching a powerplay the entire game but then again Nodak is kinda good.

Nodak might put 10 + on AIC

I agree! Wmu could beat more than half of the tournament teams.

Big Ten is always overrated. But, tough breaks this year for ND & UM w/ COVID.

I don't know about that.

They’re on cruise control now getting ready for Duluth.

They could have easily scored more.

I just can't get over the fact that they matched up Duluth & NoDak to play this early in the Tourney. This could've easily been the National Championship Game.

The NCHC is a great home for us, this was a clear down year for us, but I think we all can see clearly we were still a borderline playoff caliber team looking at the 4 seeds. The trick of course is we have to be better in our non con games more consistently. Once we do that we will be a likely playoff team, and when we make it will have a bona fide shot at making a run.

That we could beat half these teams during better seasons is why it gets so frustrating we always miss out.

The problem is, we wouldn't get an AIC kind of match-up. We'd probably be in for Omaha's spot & get Minnesota who I would expect would be a worthy opponent for us/Omaha.

Air Force and Clarkson (1996) are the only time they've ever been the higher seed in the NCAA's
