Holcomb is pitching well. A little trouble in 5th. Runners on the corners with one out.

Suicide ends badly for Southern. Bunt straight to Holcomb for the second out at home.

6-3 ends the inning. Jags strand two.

Comeaux leads off with a sharp single up the middle. Jags change pitchers. He had only given up three hits to our anemic offense. They bring in a short righty. Their roster lists him at 5’9” but he looks shorter.

Garibay walks on 4 pitches, none close.

We try a hit and run. Fortunately he fouled it offf. Walked to fill the bases.

Single and 4 walks plates 2 Owl runs. 3-1 Owls. Another lefty coming in. No outs.

4 pitch walk plates another run. 11 walks for the Owls this far with no outs in B5. Looks like 1st year of kid pitch baseball.

Owls finally get a hit with RISP! 2 rbi 2 out single by Gneiting.

1 more run scores on delayed double steal and error on the throw to second.

Back-to-back doubles to start T6 cuts the lead to 5. Bullpen is active. Long mound conference but Holcomb stays in gets a K.

Cruz 2-out single bats in Garibay from 2nd. 8-2

Walsh singles, runners at 1st and 2nd for Long. He lines out to SS.

T7, 4-3 chopper, K, single, bloop to center. Runners at corners, 2 out. F7. 8-2 at the stretch.

B7, Hughes home run. Bulman to bat for Dunlap. Walk. Gneiting FC and bad fielding leaves runners at 1st and 2nd. Error on Comeaux’s grounder to 2b scores another run. Garibay singles, runners 1, 2. Karp batting in place of Edwards, pops to first. Becker to bat for Cruz. Becker doubles in a run. Pitching change.

Walsh brings in another on ground out. 2 out, runner at 3rd for Long. F7.

Most of our runs can be attributed to the 12 walks, 1 HBP and 1 error. We've left 10 men on base (7 in the first 3 innings when it was still scoreless).

Thankfully, we have a big cushion.

Greenwood comes in for the 8th inning: Error Bulman (who just entered the game), single, passed ball, wild pitch (run), double (run). No outs. To much to ask for for Greenwood to have back-to-back quality outings.

Umm... if this keeps up the lead will be in jeopardy. 2 runs in with no outs on a combination of gophers and bad fielding.
